Great position away from the local chaos
Excellent - apart from food being uninspiring. Also limited wi-fi access in the hotel. Nowadays that should surely be available in the bedrooms and should not incur an additional charge.

Long walk from hotel
Chef (or chief - depending where you read it!) Khalil is great local restaurant for seafood. ALSO - don't get ripped off by local taxis from the airport to downtown. Should be no more than LE80.

a fantastic and mesmerising hotel,
a fantastic and mesmerising hotel, especially at night with the coloured lights and belly dancer by the pool. our favourite hotel in our travels so far. most staff very friendly with a very basic grasp of English. was very difficult to communicate with staff at front desk.

アスワンの景色が一望できる展望台からの素晴らしい眺めと豊かで手入れの行き届いた島の環境にあるホテルです。 スタッフのサービスもフレンドリーで、清潔感、設備も満足でした。広めの部屋、開放感あるベランダ、窓がついたバスルームと、さらに角部屋だったおかげで風通しも良い部屋でした。 島にあるホテルだからこそ、街との行き来に不便を感じる人もいるかもしれませんが、プライベートが確保されているので新婚旅行や滞在型のホテルとしておすすめです。

Movenpick Elephantine Island Resort
Thankfully, the Movenpick has assumed management of this hotel. When Oberoi managed it back in 2000, it was less-than-ideal! Movenpick has transformed this resort into a first-rate hotel, with spacious, well designed, comfortable rooms. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful -- especially with kids. They even agreed to an extended checkout time at a really reasonable fee. The food at the Orangerie was great as well -- although High Tea at the hotel's tower restaurant sounds really tempting. Don't let the dated "ferry boat" to the island alarm you - its shabby appearance in no way reflects the upscale accommodations at this hotel. One piece of advice -- ask the hotel to help you arrange a "falucca" ride around the island 1 hour before sunset. The views are stunning! Thanks Movenpick and Orbitz for making our stay in Aswan so enjoyable.
