Ideale Lage für eine Shopping Tour in die Mariahilferstraße. Zimmer in den Innenhof sind sehr ruhig und empfehlenswert, da die Klimaanlage nicht in der Lage ist das Zimmer zu kühlen und die Fenster offengehalten werden müssen. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht und freundlich.

Excellent Hotel and Location
This Hotel was absolutely fantastic in seriously the most beautiful city in the World! The Mercure Wien Europaplatz is in an excellent location just literally a stones throw from Vienna's main train station with great access to the very heart of the city. The rooms are very nice and well maintained, the bathrooms are dated but spotless so we didn't mind. Mini Bar was overpriced but very convenient and we were well impressed by the choice of TV channels including BBC. Beds were great and the staff were very friendly. The hotek restaurant was very nice, with brilliant staff. The area has lots of shops, bars and restaurants. My only critism is the check in time of 2pm, we had a long trip to Austria and arrived at the hotel 10am to leave our bags in the luggage room. It would be nice perhaps to bring the check in time to 12. Otherwise we had a fantastic trip, lots to see and do and I will be returning soon!

Buy the Vienna Card - it is well worth it as the transport system will take you all over the city. Avoid buying bottled water, it is expensive, Vienna tap water is amongst the cleanest in the world. Use the City Airport Train (CAT) its very cheap and gets you to the centre of Vienna in minutes.

Not so good!
Hotel has no AC. I booked 2 rooms and was sharing a room with a friend. Very disapointed with hotel. I read thereviews and people mentioned the location was good. I feel hotel is very far from main turist attractions. Needed to take subway back by the end of the day after walking all day.The only good thing is tha hotel is very close to train station. Still I took a bus from te airport to the train station. I stayed from 6/10 - 6/13 so the weather was hot in Vienna. Having AC wouldbe better. THe towels were small and not soft. They had a fan in the room.They booked me on the first floor with no view so I had to request to change room. Not very happy after a 12 hour flight.Send me an email with you have more questions eal009[@]

Not so happy
My family and I stayed here for two nights, and during the days we walked around sight-seeing and exploring the palaces, parks, statues, etc. in town. I was expecting that the cost of the breakfast here would be included, but it was not. Paying 15 euro for breakfast per person sounded a bit extravagant. My family and I returned to our room one day after sight-seeing to realize that our room had not been made up and towels had not been replaced. There were a few times that we found ants crawling around in the bathroom, on a bed, and other bugs found crawling on the carpet. I was very disappointed with this, and I wish that the service could have been better, and the room cleaner.
