Aarons Hotel Sydney

Pro: Das Aronshotel hatte in einem Doppelzimmer eine gute Ausstattung wie z.b.: Großes gemütliches Bett, LCD TV, Wasserkocher und Co. Lage im Chinaviertel, 10 gehminuten zum Darling Harbour! Kontra: Bad war unrenoviert (wirklich alt) Fenster waren undicht (bzw. auch schlicht Alt), dadurch war es ständig kühl im Raum (Reisten im Winter Australiens). Außerdem hörte man die ganze Zeit den Lüfter/Klimaanlage des gegenüberliegenden Gebäutes, was besonders Nachts störend war. Da habe ich selbst bei Hostels schon bessere Erfahrungen gemacht. Fazit: Hotel ok, aber für den Preis hätte man besseres erwarten können...

Had a nice clean room with bath and a great sized shower. Would have preferred the room to be warmer and did ask for help to make it so. Also had one light bulb burned out and asked to have it replaced and same evening desk clerk said he would replace it and never did come to room. There were 4 steps leading down to another level where our room was and no ramp for the registration person to transport our bags except by hand carrying it, which he did, There were no face washclothes either. I guess Aussies just rub the bar of soap over their bodies to bathe. The guests could get their own towels off of a cart left in the hall. All in all it was not a bad experience had my sister and I not been sick. Actually I would stay there again. Cleanliness is the most important.

everything is good except the noice of truck loading/unloading during 02:30 a.m.

This hotel is nicely located near town center and free shuttle bus stop. Many attractions of tourists' interest can be easily accessible.

I did complete a questionnaire at the Hotel and handed it in. We had Room 126...When I was initially researching hotels for the time period the rate showed from memory @ $157 per night...Through the 1300 number I got it or $99 per night. I was not impressed with what we got. 1) Room has no noise muffling. All night long, banging cars screeching, truck deliveries, bin emptying. No sleep in the two nights we stayed. 2) Furniture in room must have been 60 years old...Fridge didn't work until I worked out it was turned off in fridge...3) Shower would scold you then freeze you. I was concerned if you had a child...4) Two pieces of wood nailed together and painted as a bedhead...5) Noise within hotel from other guests celebrating a hens night. Iwas not impressed and will not stay there again.

Hotel good and clean and staff are very friendly - noise from street at night when trying to sleep, but other than that... good

Great location, near chinatown and cheap food and shops and George street. average room and nil facilities. can get a bit noisy with the school kids rolling in during the holidays.

This was a lovely hotel, service was great, staff friendly & helpful. Value for money if you are on a budget. Cafe is coming soon. Location was great, close to China Town, short walk to Darling Harbour & Paddy's markets

Recommended. Noisy but it is right near China town, very handy.

Great hotel with lots of Character (rooms were not the design that I am used to but considering the history of the building great use of spaces, great location close to Central Station and within walking distance of Darling Harbour and other attractions. Lots of asian eating experiences in the neighbourhood. The food court in the mall across the street is wonderful.
