The lady at the desk was a sweetheart and she seemed to be there 24 hours at a time. But I just felt so dirty there, the carpets were ruined. Bugs were under the cushions in the tv room. It was just gross.

We were in town for an interview and standardized testing. Being students, budget was key and a good night's sleep. The minute we walked in the room we regretted it. Their picture looks great, but the actual room looks nothing like it. Picture creaking floor boards, dusty carpets, a doona stained with what we're hoping is food. A shower with duct tape on the tiles and a shower head held up with string to keep it from falling over. The only good thing about it was that the bed sheets were clean, there were no bugs. But for 10-20 dollars more, we could have stayed at a much nicer hostel (Bounce Hotel, YHA, Wake-up or Hotel Ibis) all in central Sydney. We'd both stayed at those other places before and they were amazing, they were clean, renovated or new and quiet. Right, the walls were also thin at Home Backpackers, it was noisy. There was loud music coming from somewhere in the building and people chatting in the halls until 4 am. For a place slightly cheaper than other backpackers it was ridiculous. Stay at your own risk, avoid being as stingy as we were.

Building is rundown but relatively clean. Quiet location and handy to Central Station. Free bus loop bus stops outside. If you are not staying in your room except to sleep a good cheap accommodation stay. Did not appear to have any heating for winter so check if you need winter warmth.

共同シャワールームの鍵が壊れていたり、ツインベットルームだったが、布団が一組しかなかった。（シーツのみで寝るしかなかった。）布団もカビがはえ、湿っていて、とても使用できるようなものではなかった。 フロントもAM８時～PM８時しか空いていないため、チェックイン・チェックアウトは非常に不便。 ２度と利用しないと思う。

it must be the worst hostel I ever stayed. I wanna run away when i see the room.

My wife and I had only two full days in Sydney and did not want to spend an extravagant hotel to crash. The place is good enough. Could be cleaner though. There were little cockroches I have observe also.

目的が交流だったら、最高に良い環境だと思います。ホテル内での交流できるパーティーなど企画していて、すごく楽しいですよ。シャワーは出が悪いです。 ワーキングホリデーの方が多いから、親切にアドバイスもらえますよ。

Not having stayed at backpackers before I was unsure of what to expect. The location was very good, nice and central with only a 5 - 10 minute walk to anywhere I needed to be. The building although reasonably old seemed clean. The facilities are basic with one shower and a couple of toilets per floor (about 10 rooms) but I never had to queue for the shower. A communal kitchen and TV lounge offerred th opportunity to meet other guests. Free internet is available at reception or wireless elswhere if you prefer for a fee. Early checkout is accomodated and you may also use towels upon payment of a reasonable bond which is refunded on return of the towel. I thought the room rate was a little bit more than I would have liked to have paid. Overall a good stay for short term.

Home Backpackers is a very old basic accommodation, a bed to stay overnight, good location, service is OK and pricing is good. But I would try another better hotel next time. Thanks.

Excellent location and friendly staff. Could do with a bit of tidy up to the rooms and the bathrooms, the light in my room didn't work so lucky I had my torch! Most important the bed was good and the room was quiet considering it is in the middle of the city.
