The Sebel Manly Beach

The hotel is aging, some odd odors abound and there are some ridiculously shortsighted problems such as the only way to connect to the internet is to pull a short cord across the doorway connecting the living area and bedroom (and this is in a top grade room!) Some staff are excellent while others are young, inexperienced, unhelpful and, in at least one case, barely able to converse in English. Not worth the (very) high prices.

This Hotel is in a fabulous location right on Manly Beach, close to restaurants and a 5 minute walk if you want to take the ferry into the Historic Rocks Area of Sydney, Tarongah Zoo or any other location. We actually got a better rate when we checked out than posted, so that was also a pleasant surprise! I booked one of the cheapest studio rooms and did not expect a view, but was pleasantly surprised that, even though we were in a building behind the main one, we still had a partial ocean view! We were in room 517 if that helps! The only downside was that I did not like that the hotel buildings were not linked, meaning that we had to walk down a back alley to get to our building. This was fine when I was with my husband, but I would not have wanted to walk down the alley at night on my own. The area is generally safe, but I did not like the alley entry. I was also surprised we had to pay for internet these days (which cost us $70 for 4 days), as the daily rate was $20 and the weekly, $70. If you do have a car it is also an additional $17 a day. Overall, I would stay there again and recommend it!

plus jamais!! nous n'avions qu'une hate sortir de l'appartement! pourtant avec une vue magnifique sur la plage mais la ventilation fait un tel bruit que c'est insupportable jour et nuit nous avons tout essayé! je déconseille cet hotel pour cette raison, pourtant le personnel est charmant.

Good rooms and en suite. Location was fine but the room was in an annex with no connection to the main part of the hotel. The only bar was a noisy trendy establishment that you could not enjoy a relaxed meal in. However there are plenty of good restaurants nearby

Only complaint is that our room was in the "south tower" which meant leaving the main tower and walking through a back alley which wasn't at all aesthetically pleasing (trash cans and soot). I would stay here again but would request the north tower.

Extremely impressed with the service and the cleanliness and modern look of the rooms.

A perfect location, right on Manly beach, very tidy premises, beautiful big king size bed, the service is really good and we had the best price too. 10/10

Had informed hotel that we would be at the hotel at 10am,room not ready, room was cold,safe was not fixed to the wall,fire alarm set off three times in one night. Great location,bad hotel would not reconmend

A better view of the surf beach would have been great, however apart from an unfortunate false fire alarm at 3:30 am, the service was very good and the room clean & tidy each day

This place is fantastic. Even when we have stayed there previously (when it was the Radisson) I have always loved our time here. Thanks Staff at The Sebel, we'll be back...For Sure!!!!
