Hotel OTTO

Das Hotel hätte uns vollständig überzeugt, wenn nicht ein paar nervige Kleinigkeiten gewesen wären! Eine sehr schwer bedienbare Fernbedienung, ein funktionsloser Lichtschalter, eine kaputte Steckdose, eine lockere Duschhalterung, die wir mit der Nagelfeile wieder festgeschraubt haben, waren eben nervig und eines Dreitsternehotels nicht würdig! Und man musste sich alle Informationen selber zusammensuchen; das Infoblatt lag in einem Korb unter vielen anderen netten Kleinigkeiten; aber bis wir das gefunden hatten... Abens war auch die schlechte Beleuchtung manchmal nervend, trotz fünf Beleuchtungsmöglichkeiten war das Zimmer nicht richtig hell zu bekommen. Aber, wie gesagt, das waren nervige Kleinigkeiten: Dennoch ist das Hotel toll, unser Zimmer war sauber und groß, Badezimmer gerade angemessen und fantastisch ist die Lounge7, der Frühstücksraum in der siebten Etage, indem man zwischen 14 und 21 Uhr kostenlos Kaffee und Tee bekommt. Das Frühstück ist fantastisch, allerdings mit 15 Euro ziemlich teuer. Das war für uns aber ok., weil mein Sohn erst 11 war und somit nicht zahlen brauchte! Die Lage fanden wir spitze, aber auch hier wären ein paar Infos, für Kleinstädter wie uns, ganz nett gewesen; wären wir an der S-Bahn Haltestelle (Savignyplatz) gleich zum richtigen Ausgang, nämlich eben Savignyplatz, raus, hätten wir uns am ersten Tag ordentlich Umweg gespart. In die andere Richtung vom Hotel aus, ungefähr die Hälfte Strecke ist die U-Bahn Haltestelle Ernst-Reuter-Platz. Man ist also in kürzester Zeit überall, ohne direkt im Lärm oder dem Gewimmel zu wohnen. Unser Fazit: Wir würden das Hotel Otto auf jeden Fall nochmal buchen!!!!!

Sehr schönes Hotel, gut gelegen (S-Bahn), Parkplatz inclusive. Frühstück ist total super. Kaffee und Kuchen bis 21.00 und Getränke (Wasser) kostenlos. Sehr netter Service. Kann ich nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

for 60 euros a night in Berlin this is really great value! Very good hotel that does the job perfectly!

From TGL airport the hotel is only a short bus ride on the X9. The U-Bahn at Ernst Reuter Platz is just around the corner or it's only a quick walk to the Zoologischer Gartens with many shops and theatres. Lovely central location but not at all noisy at night. There is complimentary wi-fi which is a nice touch and helped me plan my day before heading out. The hotel itself is very clean, simply decorated, modern and comfortable.

We wanted to spend no more than $100 USD per night, and we wanted to stay on the west side of Berlin. This met those criteria, and exceeded expectations. We stayed 5 days and enjoyed the afternoon/evening tea and snacks left out for us in the penthouse lounge. My main complaints are that the bed wasn't very comfortable, and the room felt dark/cramped. However, the location near the S and U bahns and KuDamm was ideal. Great eats around there, too.

Great place. Affordable price, clean and neat, and friendly and supportive staff. Loved that internet was included as well as bottled water. Would appreciate if they had English speaking channels on the TV, if possible.

Maid service ends at 3 which, given time zone changes, made it difficult to have the room cleaned. Hotel staff was unfriendly in helping to provide clean towels in lieu of maid service. Wireless internet (free) was a great touch, as was free bottled water. The evening snacks were minimal and not replenished.

Ideal hotel for short city break. Excellently located a stones throw from the bus stop for the X9 (25 min bus journey to Tagel Airport) 2 minute walk to U-Bahn and 5 minute walk to S-Bahn. This makes all of the typically tourist sights easily accessible. Exceptionally helpful staff made this a very pleasant stay. Booking in was efficient and the helpfulness continued with suggestions of vegetarian restaurants and nearby bars. The room was a good size with a very powerful shower. The two best aspects of the hotel by far are the sumptious breakfast and coffee and cake in the afternoon - just what is needed after a day in Berlin. Fantastic hotel that cannot be improved.
