BEST WESTERN Hotel Domicil Frankfurt

Was only there for one night before flying out of Frankfurt, so chose this place for its proximity to the train station. But was surprised by how nice it is, clean, good amenities, comfortable. The staff was really great, helped us get around the city, find places to eat, and was all-around helpful and friendly. Despite the location of this (and most inexpensive hotels in Frankfut) in the "red light" district, this particular hotel is more on the edge of that neighborhood, and it can be avoided completely simply by turning right out the front door instead of left and walking up Landstrasse toward the city center.

Hotel is within walking distance from the main train station and within walking distance of some of the main sites in Frankfurt. This is a basic hotel, standard European small room, no A/C, and no major amenities with the exception of free WiFi. Staff was friendly, helpful with directions and info about the area, and I received my wake up call at the designated time of 3:30 am. The bed was old but not uncomfortable, bed sheets were rough cotton, small pillow, and basic comforter. The shower was standup with a squirt bottle of soap to use as shampoo as well. Towels were thin white. Lots of places to eat and drink, but if you stay out late be cautious on your return to the hotel as the hotel is located at the end of the Red Light district where females try to entice you to come into their clubs and lots of street people and others types milling around the area. Act like you are a local and know what you are doing then acting like a tourist which could lead to problems.

The room was very small and although it was non-smoking there was smoke coming in via the ventilation system. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet is excellent value.

Location was really really great. It was only 7~10mins from main station by walk. and easy to find a hotel as well. Staff was really nice. When I asked her to give me something personal requests. She was really helpful for me. but there was only problem of this hotel. If you come to this hotel late time, location could be dangerous for women. cos near this hotel, there is some dark shops. and people looks bad. like erotic shops and bar.

a bit confusing it says mini bar complimentery but confused if you have to pay for it or not.also says cofee on tap 24 hrs a day but you have to try and fit the coffee,paid more for one room more than the other but exactly the same a bit cramped for a single room,also the bathroom smelled of grout

Located very near (50 m.) Frankfurt Main Train station. Just walk there after taking the S8 train from basement platform of Terminal 1 of Frankfurt airport (Euro 3.72 ticket - only 3 stops ). Hotel Domicil has been refurnished recently and is an excellent hotel value for money. Remember to book the air-cond room if you are visiting in summer. Otherwise you may be given non-airconditioned room which may be hot. The surrounding area is not too good - you can meet some drug addicts on the street & is near the red light area. Overall it is an excellent hotel.

The room was small (typical of German hotel single rooms) but decent, with a mini-bar, cable tv, and free wireless internet access. The location is convenient--very close to the main train station--but is rather seedy, with lots of strip joints, peep shows, sex shops and drug dealers in the area. I didn't feel unsafe as long as it was light out, but I certainly learned quickly to avoid walking down Moselstrasse, a street right next to the hotel, which seems to be the main location for these types of businesses, and I didn't walk around the area after dark. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Overall, the hotel was a good value for the price.

Room very small with no space for a suitcase other than at end of bed which required me to step over it to get to bed.
