Mercure Hotel Stuttgart City Center

Das Hotel war sehr sauber und das Personal an der Reception sehr höflich sowie aufmerksam. Es liegt unweit von einem U-Bahn-Stadion. Der Preis für die Tiefgarage ist korrekt. Die Zimmer sind klein. Das zweite Zweibettzimmer besteht aus einem 90 x 200 cm Bett und einem Rollbett!

We've stayed there several times before--it's a consistent, reliable hotel. A five minute tram ride from the main station..you can even walk although it's a bit uphill. Rooms are comfortable, very up to date. Breakfast is very good. Only negative is that there are not places right near for dinner but a quick tram ride downtown gives you all of the possibilities. The hotel dinner is actually quite nice if you do stay in.

Staff was friendly and competent. Nice layout. New building. Five-minute walk to a tram station; three stops to the main train station. Nice, but expensive restaurant. Free Internet using lobby's computer.

hotel is walking distance from city center. If you prefer you can go by metro/subway (5 min walk). Breakfest is quite expensive. Wi-fi was free of charge but the quality in the room was not good.

We were only there for one night. The receptionist was very welcoming with good English. Room was small but very clean with good facilities including free Wi-Fi. Had a nice meal in the Restaurant. Breakfast Buffet good (not included).

Have stayed there approx 5 times; close to downtown (2 stops on U15 tram from main station--maybe 3 minute ride). New, modern hotel; nice sized rooms; staff ultra friendly; breakfast, while pricey, is well worth it. Good value, especially on weekends.

you need to walk a little bit from the station. other than that it's nice place for buisness stay.

Thinking about the location and the access to the Hbf and city center it is one of the best choices you can have. The room was quite and sound proof as it was in the backside avoiding the traffic and the train noise.The price of the breakfast and the internet was extremely expensive, so I did not make any use. There are other solutions which anyone can have in a very reasonable price elsewhere out. The room rates at the period I was in Stuttgart was very high as the summer festival takes place and a lot of visitors are searching for a hotel. Definitely I would choose it again if I visited Stuttgart again.

Best part: They have air conditioning. This is very much required in the July (at least Jul 2010). Without air-conditioning, the windows will have to be kept open for the "cool" air and it is so noisy. Worst part: No free internet. Even for A-club members. There is one very slow computer in the lobby that has internet but that was it. Charge is either 9 euros/day or there is a 3 euros/hour. I used the second one and it was fast enough for a video chat. Good parts: Staff is friendly and know good English. The room including the bathroom was maintained in an excellent condition. The hotel is close to Stuttgart city center (Stuttgart Hbf). Actually it is closer to a station called Turlenstrasse from where it is easier to go to the Hbf through a train rather than the 1km direct walk from the hotel to the hbf. Bad parts: No fridge inside room. Bad for people who want to have their water/drinks slightly cold. No iron box which I found missing as I was going to attend a conference My hotel stay was restricted to the nights and the early mornings and I was out the rest of the day. I didnt book with the breakfast and it was around 17 euros. (I had a decent breakfast at a nearby bakery for around 4 or 5 euros).

For the price the facilities and service were very poor. Very few facilities in the bathroom, non smoking room smelled of smoke, with an ash tray! washing not delivered to room, internet too expensive, breakfast etc way too expensive, coffee machine didn't work.
