Crowne Plaza LIVERPOOL CITY CENTRE

We stayed at the Crown Plaza in Liverpool in Febraury 2012. Having paid £115, we expected a fairly decent hotel, however I wish we'd stayed in the Travelodge. Altough it is not an old hotel it is already looking a little tired. Our room was a little dirty and had a couple of holes in the wall! The pillows were hugh and gave me a bad neck. We visited the leisure centre ( which was also a little tired) but didn;t stay long due to lots of screaming children. Location is good - only around 5 - 10 mins walk to Liverpool One. Overall very average and wouldn't stay again.

After the phone in my original room did not work, they transferred me to a different room and comped lunch. Internet wi-fi only in lounge area, hassle to go down to connect.

Room was small with little storage space. No closet or drawers. Ironing board took up all the hanging space in the small armoire. Had to lean it against the window (for four days) to have room to hang clothes. Comlimentary bathrobe was hung on the only hook. Had to throw it on the floor to be able to hang toiletry bag in bathroon. Room was clean and quiet. Shower good. Bathroom floor was sticky (gross!) when we arrived. Furnished wash cloths. Big fluffy towels.

Excellant location walking distance to most places. Right next to the Isle of Man ferry terminal. Parking on site friendly staff. We didn't eat in the Hotel so can't comment but we ate 3 nights at different restaurants at Liverpool one which were excellant. Would definately stay there again.

Overnight in Liverpool on our way from Leeds-Bradford to the Manchester Airport. Train to Lime Street Station, tickets good to take the local Wirral Line to the James Street Station, then 400 yards to the hotel. Easy access to Albert Dock and other waterfront attractions. In hotel restaurant good and prices typical for the area, but many dining choices within easy walking distance in the down town area. The gym was well equipped and fun to work out watching the ferries cross the Mersey. Lot of safe running along the waterfront. Room amenities good for the price.

Clean spacious rooms. Great location with friendly, helpful staff. Enjoyable stay!

Almost a can't be beaten location next to the river and close to the city. Nice, spacious and clean.

It was refreshing to stay at a hotel that looked after it's clients so well.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff were friendly, efficient and most helpful. The rooms are roomy. The location was great. The breakfast was absolutely superior to any I have had at any other hotel. Well done Crowne Plaza. You are a winner!
