Lage ist super zum Erkunden Londons

The unique location of the hotel is the big plus, Oxford Street is to be reached within a 5 minute walk. As for the rooms, it really depends which room you get. Ask for a non smoking one, they won't check if you booked one online. For such a price I didn't expect anything special.

Das Hotel liegt in zentraler Lage in der Nähe der Edgeware Road Tube. Ebenfalls die Busverbindungen in alle Himmelsrichtungen sind sehr gut. Die Ausstattung des Hotels ist unterdurchschnittlich und die Zimmer sind sehr klein. Am meisten hat mich das zu kurze Bett gestört, welches für Menschen über 1,75m zu klein ist (Bettlänge 1,80m). Ansonsten kann man bei der Lage und dem Preis in London keine Wunder erwarten.

Wir hatten DZ mit Bad. Es war ein bisschen arg schmuddelig, aber Lage (zwischen Baker Street und Hyde Park, beides auch zu Fuß erreichbar) und Preis waren gut. Das Frühstück (zur Auswahl English Breakfast oder Continental) war okay, das Personal war freundlich.

Zimmer äußerst klein, aber typisch für London für diese Preisklasse. Sehr gute Lage des Hotels. Geeeignet für Kurzaufenthalt.

Für ein 2-Sterne-Hotel war es eine positive Überraschung: einfaches, aber ordentliches Zimmer, leider Souterain, gutes Bad, geräumig mit ausgezeichneter Dusche. Das incl. full english breakfast war o.k. Insgesamt eine gute Wahl zu dem Preis.

Für £ 28 pro Person pro Nacht in einem kleinen, feinen Doppelzimmer inkl. tasty English Breakfast am Morgen und der sehr zentralen Lage unschlagbar! Mini Minus: Kein Fenster zum Hof sondern zur Strassenseite ist wirklich sehr laut und schlafstörend. Auch die hellhörigen dünnen Wände, manchmal... Ich würde hier immer wieder buchen, wenn es low budget sein soll. Für den Preis gibt es sonst nur ein 10-Mann Doppelstockbetten Zimmer!

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in and worse than anything I could have imagined. I had to fix the toilet seat, the towel holder was hanging off the wall, the shower tray was disgusting - chipped / broken / dirty and we even saw an insect that looked like an ant crawling up the side of it! One of the wall lights was half missing and there was a hole in the bathroom door. The old brown wallpaper was stained and dirty and had areas where pieces were peeling off. The furniture was old and battered and one of the drawers had a handle missing. The bed was hard, no springs and really uncomfortable and the base of it was filthy, covered in disgusting brown stains. The dirty brown carpet didn't reach the skirting boards and was really dusty and the frill at the top of the curtains was hanging off and was also thick with dust. The paint was peeling off the window sill - the terrible view was of some steps and the back of the building. There were cobwebs/dirt on the ceiling and walls. There was only one floor level double socket in the room so I had to move the kettle down on to the floor to boil it. The socket was loose and didn't feel particularly safe - The TV (which didn't work!) was plugged in to it and next to it a white plug with a red light - when I unplugged this to see what it was, I found it was a mouse and rat repeller!! Although the TV didn't work, they did have wi-fi so we watched TV on our laptop. I asked if they had another room available but the man on reception was rather rude and said 'no' they didn't (even though they were showing 'vacancies' on the window!) I asked for extra pillows as we only had one each and was told they didn't have any, they were all being cleaned!! (I very much doubted that!) I had to pay cash on arrival as apparently the card machine didn't work and when I asked if I could pay later as I didn't have it on me - he said I had half an hour and then I had to pay! I then had to go out to a cashpoint in the rain when we had only just arrived! The only saving grace was the fairly reasonable full English breakfast served by a very nice lady in a clean-ish but freezing cold dining room in the basement... All-in-all... DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! IT SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN!

If you pay for less less is exactly what you will get. What I found the most unlikeable thing about this place is that the heat in the room did not work and when I brought it to the attention of the staff nothing was ever done. Thankful the temps were mild that weekend. The best thing about the place is that it was a short 10 minute walk to Paddington Station so taking the expresss train to and from Heathrow was effortless.
