Hanover Hotel Victoria

We had a pleasant stay at the Hanover Hotel. It is very close to Victoria Station and far enough away from the busy streets. The area was safe and well lit at night. The room we asked for was supposed to have a double bed and we got a double bed and a single bed! It was very comfortable though a little hot. I found that you could control the heater directly on the heater. The shower was ok. The doors didn't close very well but all in all it was great for the price and location. I would come back and recommend this hotel.

Absolutely perfect for the money. Room is small but adequate. Bathroom is tiny but ample. It's all very clean. Breakfast was also perfectly fine. Those people complaining about the place are obviously expecting a lot more for their money. This is a budget hotel a short walk away from Victoria station. You should expect nothing more than a clean bed and clean bathroom - and this is exactly what you get. Staff are also friendly and helpful.

Hotellilla on todella hyvä sijainti. 2-hengen huone oli todella pieni ja ahdas. Täytyi siirtää toista sänkyä, jotta sai kunnolla vessan oven auki. Villakoiria vilisi, mutta kokolattiamatto onkin varmaan vähän vaikea pitää puhtaana. Ikkuna oli todella pieni ja tv:kään ei näkynyt kunnolla. Ilmainen WI-FI toimi hyvin. Meillä kävi huono tuuri kun huoneemme sijaitsi ylimmässä kerroksessa ja hissiä ei ollut. Huoneeseen oli n. 80 porrasaskelmaa ja portaat olivat todella kapeat ja jyrkät, joten kyllä otti kunnon päälle. Henkilökunta oli kyllä todella mukavaa ja avuliasta. Mutta jos luksusta etsii, niin kannattaa tämä hotelli jättää väliin. Tai edes toivoa huonetta alemmista kerroksista, jolloin esim. matkalaukkujen kanto huoneeseen ei ole niin suuri operaatio. Halvalla kun sai, niin ei saisi mitään hienoa odottaakaan. Kyllähän siellä yönsä nukkui, mutta hotellin kuvaus Internetissä oli kyllä tietysti hieman liioiteltua.

Trip adviser does an injustice to this historic hotel. It's clean, functional, perfectly located and the staff were both helpful and friendly. We were under the office which was noisy. A carpet and elimination of the rolling chairs would quite the place down considerably. A perfectly good place for the price minded traveler.

Fick rum nere i källaren under receptionen,personalen var väldigt högljudda,drog möbler och klampade omkring hela natten.Tittade även på film och antagligen så var dom döva efter volymen att döma. Frukosten som var helt ok serverades i rummet brevid vårt, så väckarklocka behövdes inte,personalen började förbereda frukosten 06:30 och då väcktes man kan jag lova.Annars var hotellet helt ok för den prisklassen.

une chambre pour trois personnes, sur rue, mais pas bruyant, avec accès à une terrasse. La chambre est simple, la propreté correcte, et l'hotel est situé à à peine 10 minutes de Victoria station, ce qui est plus que pratique.

TERRIBLE HOTEL!!! There is NO elevator so we had to lug our suitcases up 6 flights of stairs! And there is noone to help with your luggage. The bathroom smells like sewage and is so small that you could brush your teeth while you were on the toliet! As for the room-small is an understatement. We were literally stepping over one another. You have to leave your room key with the front desk when you leave the hotel which is just weird. Also, the hotel is in a residential neighborhood so all the restaurants stop serving around 9:30 and the bars close at 11:00. The only good thing about this hotel is that the market was close and the subway was about ten min away walking. I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel!!!

Although the staff was very nice and tried very hard to make our stay comfortable the Hotel is not what I expected. For the price, in London, I expected the hotel to be "Basic" and most importantly "Clean". The problem was that the Rooms were "Dingy" and VERY small. We were traveling with 3 people and secured a room that accomodated 3 people but there was VERY little walking space in the room and no where to place the 3 suitcases we brought ( Very Tight!!) But BEWARE there are NO Elevators/Lifts so we had to carry our 50 pound suitcases up 4 flights of steep stairs. Our first stay we were able to get them to have someone else carry our luggage up but the 2nd stay they did not have anyone to carry them up. If you don't have much luggage or you want a great workout carrying your luggage up then the place is minammally acceptable but otherwise you need to Request a Ground Floor Room. Again the staff was very nice but they need to "Brighten Up" the Decor/Bed Spreads and Hire someone to carry the luggage.

Good Location close to Victoria Station; small room, cleaned minimally throughout our week-long stay, cramped breakfast room, breakfast adequate but small selection of items, shower temperature difficult to control, staff responsive to requests, room temperature difficult to control
