Holiday Inn LONDON - HEATHROW M4,JCT.4

No clear directions were given how to arrive at the hotel from the airport. From the airport bus station I was misdirected to another Holiday Inn hotel. To transfer to the correct Holiday Inn I was charged £10.00 for a 10 minute taxi ride. This spoilt the whole experience of my overnight stay.

Staff was very helpful. Room was good size and breakfast was excellent.

This is a very nice hotel nearby Heathrow Airport, and as far as I know, not really near anything else. It is very clean and comfy, and has an informal bar and a rather large pub-like bar, and several eating places. On the Sunday night I was there they had a buffet carvery with beef and Yorkshire pudding; quite scrumptious. The staff was helpful and friendly. It has a fairly frequent shuttle service to Heathrow's various terminals; this costs 4.50 pounds, reasonable by London standards, but see my warnings below.

Ready for may arrive and felt me feel at home. Especially helpfull with transportation to the airport to catch my connect flight to Kenya. Would esaily do this hotel again.

Comfortable room, although staff not completely helpful. They were very reluctant to aid with late or early check ins.

We enjoyed the ambience of the hotel. Very luxurious compared to most of the Holiday Inns I have stayed at. My grandson was annoyed that we had to pay 16 pounds for a round trip from the airport, when we were under the impression we could walk to the hotel. Our mistake for not looking at a map. I also missed the included breakfast which we enjoyed at the other 3 hotels we stayed at in England and Scotland. We would have been happied with twin beds rather than the sofa bed. The personnel were very helpful although a bit more professional than friendly. We would stay there again, however.

Clean room; comfortable beds; good night's sleep..all very important when you want rest during a trip. What we did not like is that when we contacted Holiday Inn directly before booking online with [...], we were told YES, we have free airport shuttle service. They do NOT at this hotel, which is one of three Holiday Inns near Heathrow.Because I booked the room on two separate nights, a Wednesday and Friday, in between flights to-from Rome with my wife and daughter, this mistake cost us 4 pounds each to catch the bus service. To-fro twice, 4 pounds x 3 people, added up to 48 pounds, or roughly $75. Ouch. I'd have picked another hotel closer to the airport with free shuttle service had I known this.Also, everything in the hotel is overpriced, and there is NOTHING next door or nearby to walk to or go to eat.

Fantastic nhotelm with brilliant location! Very convenient for airport hotel.

good job all around. Only thing missing was brewed coffee by 5am as advertised. Good spot for last night in London. Ask for directions to catch the hoopa 1 bus to-from hotel. Runs every 20 mins. starting at 0420 from hotel.
