Millennium Bailey's Hotel London Kensington

Bei der Ankunft teilte man uns mit, dass das Hotel völlig ausgebucht sei und man uns im "Sister-Hotel" in unmittelbarer Nähe ein Zimmer reserviert habe. Nachdem wir das nicht akzeptierten, schien es doch möglich zu sein, das gebuchte Zimmer, welches aber noch nicht bezugsbereit war, zu erhalten. Beim Bezug des Zimmers stellte sich heraus, dass die Heizung nicht funktionierte und die Zimmertemperatur der Aussentemperatur (0-4 Grad) entsprach. Nach langem hin und her evakuierten wir doch ins Sisterhotel, welches nicht dem gebuchten Standard entsprach und bei welchem die Dusche nicht funktionierte. Auf diese Spielereien mit Gästen, welche nur eine Nacht bleiben, verzichten wir in Zukunft und buchen anderswo!

Echt gutes Hotel in zentraler Lage mit gutem Service und großzügigen Standardzimmern. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!

Das Einzelzimmer im 4. Stock war nicht besonders groß, aber ausreichend für eine Person. Es war auffallend ruhig. Hotelzimmer und Bad waren wirklich sauber. Das Personal war zuvorkommend. Sehr praktisch ist, dass die U-Bahnstation Gloucester Road mit 3 Linien direkt gegenüber dem Hoteleingang liegt. Das Hotel ist nicht billig, aber ich würde gerne wieder dort übernachten.

I really enjoyed my stay at Bailey's! I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone who would like to be close to everything. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful in providing information about traveling to and from the many sites in London. My accommodations were excellent.

Hotellin sijainti on loistava, Heathrowlta pääsee suoraan hotellille metrolla ja kirjaimellisesti ovelle. Hotellin sisäänkäynnistä on vain muutama metri metroasemalle ja Piccadilly line kuljettaa suoraan myös ydinkeskustaan. Hotellin ympäristössä on mukavasti peruskauppoja ja ravintoloita mutta meteliä oli yllättävän vähän. Henkilökunta oli todella ystävällistä ja kohteliasta, ja mikä parasta, lapsi huomiotiin hienosti myös. Erittäin siisti ja viihtyisä hotelli ja huoneessa (olimme clubroomissa) oli runsaasti tilaa, joka oli taas hyvä valinta koska vietimme iltaisin paljon aikaa hotellilla. Hotellin aamiainen oli positiivinen yllätys, niin valtava valikoima ettei kaikkea ehtinyt edes maistaa. Poika ihmetteli kun appelsiinitkin oli kuorittu totaalisesti :-) Suosittelen lämpimästi.

Traveled with my 20 year old daughter. The Hotel was literally right outside the Gloucester Tube station. It was great for hopping on and off the tube. Everything was good. Disappointed that breakfast was not part of the room rate. For an extra 12 pounds per person ($18 USD) we could have added this to our stay. No need as there were at least 4 other options just outside our Hotel and much more reasonable.

The hotel staff was wonderful. The location could not be any better. Had some trouble with the hot water, but the room was clean. Also, some TV difficulties, but that was not important since we were not in the room very much.

Overall we enjoyed our stay - getting to the hotel could not have been easier, as it is literally across the street from a subway station. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We found the mattress hard, and two twin beds attached uncomfortable, but when we asked were transferred to a room with a queen size bed with no trouble. many restaurants nearby.

I've stayed at other hotels in Kensington, but I think Baileys is the best yet for me at my price point. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the room and amenities were great, and the bar & restaurant were good - not too busy, but not too quiet either. The location is great, just beside Gloucester Rd tube station, with easy walk to museums, cafes, restaurants etc. It'll be my first choice when I go back.

My wife and I have stayed at the Millennium Bailey for three years in a row now. It is a well-run establishment, the staff is well-trained and very courteous, friendly and helpful. Judy and I got spoiled last year, somehow getting a corner room which afforded a nice view of a very pleasant intersection. We liked that better than this year's accommodations for sure. We were offered an upgrade for 60 pounds more per night, but we thought that price was a bit excessive and declined it. Perhaps we should have accepted it. No complaints from this source! The food was fine, the bar area was clean and well-staffed and the counter staff was professional at all times. The MB has one HUGE advantage over other venues: right across the street is the Gloucester Road tube station, which makes it almost perfectly accessible from all parts of London.
