Great bargain near Paddington
This was my third stay, and again I am very satisfied. As always, the Piccolino staff is helpful and enthusiastic. Rooms are very clean, wifi and hairdryer are provided, good basic breakfast (hot and cold), all within a few minutes' walk from Paddington, Hyde Park, the tube, and tons of restaurants. A very nice bargain for travelers who don't mind small bathrooms and no air conditioning. Can't beat it for the price!

Short walk from hotel
Kolossi greek restaurant up the street is not too expensive and very good. Dickens Pub also quite nice. Ask the desk guys to recommend a good Indian restaurant--there are four or five within two blocks.

Classic Bait and Switch
We arrived at the Piccolino Hotel and waited about 5 minutes for them to answer the door. Finally made it in and were able to store our bags for the day until check-in. Came back later in the day and was told we were being put at their "other hotel" of the same quality. First they sent us in the wrong direction, next we arrived at the other location where the hotel expected payment for a pre-paid overnight. The room was hot and the pluming did not work properly. The flusher for the toilet actually came off in my hand and the water drizzled out of the shower unbearably hot and could not be adjusted. Avoid this property. They took copmplete advantage of us.

Great place for the bucks
Typical London apt. hotel. Our experience was great. clean, outstanding staff. Location is great, walking distance (1/2 mile) from Paddington station (Heathrow Express). Would stay there again. Really close to Hyde Park. Some ok restaurants close. Took tubes to all the 'touristy bits'
