Maximum convenience for Heathrow
I stayed at the Sofitel the night before a morning flight out of Heathrow so I wouldn't feel rushed through London traffic. The hotel is attached by a causeway to terminal 5, with easy access to train to other terminals. The hotel is very attractive with a modern Asian design. My concern was noise from air traffic but the hotel was quite quiet. My room over-looked an interior lobby which seemed odd but I kep my drapes closed. The bartenders were very nice and put my name in queue at the restaurant. I would definitely stay there again if the circumstances warranted it.

On-airport luxury at affordable prices
This is a clean and very well-appointed hotel with ample staff. The best summary I can give is that I actually checked to make sure that I had remembered the room rate correctly, because it seemed like this hotel surely must be far more expensive than I had thought. This hotel is that nice. This is a great place to stay if you have a layover and just need a solid night's sleep in a comfortable room. It really helped us feel rested and refreshed after two weeks traveling in India.

Escape Travel Stress
Beautiful hotel at Terminal 5 but you feel like you're a world away. Perfect for recharging from your travels. Short walk to complimentary buses to other terminals is easy but still adds some time to travels.

Great airport hotel experience
The hotel is lovely, the room is well appointed. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. It is well located at Terminal 5. Afternoon tea was really fun, delicious - more food than we could eat in one sitting!

quick stay on our way home from Turkey
everything was comfortable, easy, and clean. Had a great meal in the hotel restaurant before a great sleep then off to home!

Very convenient location. Hotel room was clean, very comfortable. Bathroom was modern with excellent fixtures, such as adjustable temperature control. Room was quiet. Hotel atmosphere was serene.

the write up on the web [...] documented "complimentary breakfast." the hotel desk personnel told her no breakfast or other meal was provided. she ate on the plane.the write up also emphasized the hotel was IN Terminal 5 - not exactly true - you have to go through customs and the signage is not clearly visible to a 4'8" first time travellers. The walk should be advertised in distance... the location advertising is very misleading.On the good side, the hotel and direct staff weregreat. the hotel staff passed on messages pleasantly and provided wake up call on time. the room and hotel were lovely, clean, elegant. the airport/airline BA staff were unquestionably the rudest aspect of the trip - not one person would stop to help/answer question as to how to get to the hotel from the terminal gate - my daughter is a mere 4'8" 19-year old girl travelling alone - why are europeans so rude?
