Ballsbridge Hotel

Ein etwas älteres -aber gepflegtes und sauberes- Hotel, das vor kurzem neu übernommen wurde. Die Lage ist sehr gut, denn obwohl man ruhig und etwas außerhalb wohnt, ist man rasch (Bus: 10 Minuten, zu Fuß: 25 Minuten) im absoluten Stadtzentrum. Das Personal ist außergewöhnlich freundlich und sehr bemüht.

Hotel in general was good our particular room could have benefited from more lighting and certainly second pillows. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast could have done with being hotter though

The hotel is in need of a major refurbish, but we were told it had been scheduled for demo during the 'Celtic Tiger' economy to make way for a new convention center, since it sits so close to the new stadium. But when the bubble burst in 2008, the developer backed out, and now there's little money for the major upgrade it needs. That having been said upfront, it was a good fit for us -- not at all expensive and yet the basic comforts we needed -- ensuite bathroom with plenty of hot water and a good shower, hairdryer, coffee & tea in the room, and only about a mile from city center with a bus stop right out front. It was very clean -- fresh sheets every 3rd day and towels every day. The Dubliner Bar inside the hotel was especially good (prices & food). All-in-all, a good stay.

Not a hotel for a romantic getaway in Dublin but a very practical choice if you get good rates. The good A fancy location at the centre of lots of different types of walks, with access to good local amenities and the Aviva/RDS. The rooms are really quite large, there are vending machines in the hallway a good selection of channels on the tv. The communal parts look good. The not so good The decor is drab and dark, at one point the Do Not Disturb sign was not respected by the hotel staff, the parking and wifi cost extra (€20 per week for wifi; €9 per day for parking), the tv's signal can be fuzzy, a bit of mould in the bathroom. In essence, the rooms are tired but if you get discounted rates then it is a very cheap hotel within the exclusive embassy area of Dublin.

We had a great time at the balls bridge. The location was perfect. We were 5 minutes walk to the dart and 20-25 minutes walk to the city centre. There was convenient restaurants and shopping nearby for our little last minute needs. The hotel served a fabulous Irish breakfast. Their buffet included an amazing cereal and fruit spread. The staff was helpful and very nice. We wish the wifi had been free and that there had been more pillows on the beds but other than that it was a great stay. I would definitely recommend it to my friends for a economical stay in Dublin, Ireland.

The staff are pleasant, helpful and informative. Location - not far from city, the bus fare is only 2.15euro. The hotel provides a lot of car parks but unfortunately guests have to pay for it (not complimentary for guests). Overall our stay was magnificent and we definitely will stay here again if we come to Dublin.

Erinomainen sijainti. Lentokenttä bussin pysäkki portilla. Rauhallinen ympäristö. Hyvät liikenneyhteydet Dart -junalla. Erinomaisen ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta. Aamiaisen hinta kallis mutta onneksi hyvä aamiaispaikka suhteellisen lähellä saman kadun varrella.

The hotel is situated in a lovely neighbourhood and a 15-20min walk from centre of Dublin or a very short bus journey (the stop is right outside the hotel). The hotel itself was lovely and the staff were very friendly, we particularly enjoyed the fact that the Dubliner pub next door joins right onto the hotel so you don't even have to leave the building! Excellent hotel, would definitely stay again.

This was our second time staying at this hotel....first time was 3 years ago. The place was a bit shabby then, but has been upgraded and looks fine now. the value is great....rooms in other hotels in this fashionable part of Dublin will cost you three times as much. The location is excellent....a five minute ride by bus from downtown. Local buses and the airport coach stop just outside the hotel entrance. Staff is knowledgeable about surrounding area. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

Fairly average hotel for a girls' weekend away, but great staff at the front desk who were always happy to help regardless of the time of day (or night). Closely situated to the DART rail, and AVIVA stadium but quite a walk from the centre of town for those who like to stroll. I doubt we could have asked for more for the great deal we got for hotel and flights, however small details could have been monitored better such as bath towels without holes. Would return to this hotel provided the deal was right, and perhaps if I was going to watch rugby. But if you want to be in the heart of the action, I would probably pick a different hotel.
