Mespil Hotel

Das Hotel liegt an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße. Dadurch besteht eine gewisse Lärmbelastung. Das Zentrum Dublins, St. Stephen´s Green, Grafton Road sind für Menschen mit einer durchschnittlichen Fitness fußläufig zu erreichen (ca. 20 Minuten). Der Flughafenbus hält ca. 500m vom Hotel entfernt. Das Personal des Hotels ist umsichtig und freundlich, es hilft gerne und berät kompetent. Das angebotene Frühstück ist dem Preis angemessen, sowohl als Kontinental- als auch als Irisches Frühstück.

Preis / Leistungverhältnis gut. Ebenfalls Lage, Service und Essen. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer mit 3 Betten hat mich angenehm überrascht. Von Vorteil ist auch das kostenloses Parken für den Mietwagen vor dem Hotel oder auf dem Innenhof. Das Mespel Hotel kann ich bedenkenlos empfehlen.

Normales gutes Hotel. Zimmer an der Straße sehr laut. Wasserdruck in der Dusche sehr irisch.

I did not spend much time at hotel as I was on the go most of the time. Did not use restaurant so no opinion. Hotel did provide 2 courtesy computers in lobby which was nice for checking email. Did not see any room thermostat and room got pretty warm at times. Staff provided on time wake up calls. Hotel is a distance from tourist areas but public transportation is nearby. Would stay again.

We had a very plesent stay at the Mespil. It is very convenient to city centre with a beautiful calan setting. The staff were very helpful and plesant Nice to see a hotel has kept its Irishness

The hotel is bright, airy and very clean, the bath water is hot and the staff are extremely pleasant and obliging.

The Mespil Hotel was centrally located within walking distance to museums and parks. It was a little further walk to the central part of Dublin. The front desk people were very accommodating, the breakfast very nice, and the rooms clean and adequate. A bus stops every morning in front of the hotel to take people to the Hop Off and On bus tour. Highly recommend taking it. We enjoyed the Guinness and Jameson whiskey tours and also the archaelogical museum. It was about a half mile walk to the Dart (the speed train) from the Mespil. We took a 20 minute train ride south to Dalkey, a quaint town along the coast which has a lovely castle and church.

The hotel is, in general, a little tired. The staff were helpful and mainly friendly. We stayed in a room on the upper floor and had problems with the shower. It seemed at best just a trickle but every so often it dried up to a dribble. We did report it and a maintenance came while we were out and said it was fixed., but the following mornings it was the same. Personally I think when other rooms are using hot water the pressure on our floor disappeared. Not really worth the money we paid.

Very comfortable, bright and spacious. The staff were extremely pleasant and obliging and the bath water was wonderfully hot.

Service at the Mespil Hotel was excellent. Check-in & out was fast & efficient. Our room was an "Executive Room", and it was spacious and comfortable. Late night snack in the bar was tasty. Continental breakfast okay. All in all great value for money in an excellent location.
