tara towers hotel liegt total guenstig (airchoach flughafenbus fuer 8 euro direkt vors hotel) (linie 4 und linie 7 fuer 1,60 euro direkt vom hotel in die stadt (20 min fahrt)) (DART (ca. 4 euro) in richtung sueden in schoene orte am meer (wandern, baden)), und besteht aus einem aelteren und einem neueren gebaeudeteil. im alten hat man meerblick mit sonnenaufgang (allerdings sehr laut, da strasse zwischen gebaeude und meer), oder ruhige zimmer nach hinten. die zimmer haben kaffee- und teebeutel inklusive einem heisswasserbereiter. alles ist sauber, ausser evtl. der fensterwand, welche schwerer zu pflegen ist als der rest. bett und badwaesche sind klasse und werden jeden tag erneuert. hausschuhe mitnehmen, da der teppich nicht mehr der neueste. rezeption sehr hilfsbereit und kompetent. die bar im hotel ist OK, die angebotene livemusik war es in unserem fall nicht. ein supermarkt ist ca. 10 minuten per fuss in richtung stadt erreichbar. 40 euro fuers zimmer war klasse.

This hotel is awesome the location was perfect for us. We were able to get a bus right in front of hotel to go anywhere in the city. The staff is great they will get you directions to what you want make recommendations to places and sell bus cards. We will definitely go back to Ireland again and use this hotel when we do.

Good value for the price for a middle of the road hotel. Decent location in South Dublin with a bus stop right in front. Hotel staff was great! I had lots of questions and they had lots of answers. They helped plan outings and gave lots of helpful tips on tours etc.. They also arranged taxi's when needed, and let us check in before check-in time as our flight arrived early. There's also a pub/restaurant in the hotel with good breakfasts. Also, there's free parking. We kept our rental parked most of the time as the public transportation was easy to use. No complaints.

I have stayed a numbered of times this year in the Tara Towers. The premises is showing some signs of wear and tear. However, the location is excellent, good eateries near by, very close to UCD, RDS, Aviva Stadium. Free car parking. The hotel and rooms are clean, rooms are spacious and plenty of hot water. Complementary tea and coffee in the room. Service excellent. During my most recent stay, I checked in, to discover that the room was near roof-located air conditioning system, outside my window. As I'm a light sleeper, I asked the receptionist if it was possible to relocate my room. she did so immediately and was very pleasant about doing so. I shall definitely stay again.

We chose the Tara Towers as it was in the right location for the car touring we wanted to do south of Dublin. We checked in early (early flight into Dublin) with no problems. Room large, clean and comfortable but overheated so we had to open windows as it couldn't be adjusted. Food, bar and service were all excellent, and ample parking which is a bonus in Dublin! Have already recommended the hotel to others.

We were very happy with our stay. The staff were friendly and very efficient. The hotel is very convenient for access to the city centre and south Dublin and is well served by both a bus stop just outside and the rail service in walking distance. The price was very good for what we got. The room was fine with a wonderful view out over Dublin Bay. However, it was very warm so we needed to keep the window open and there was constant traffic noise through the night. But apart from that we have no complaints.

Average 3 star hotel situated on the coast with good bus links to downtown Dublin and the airport. Normal Irish breakfast, but no fresh fruit, only canned grapefruit and oranges. Pleasant pub within the hotel. WiFi free of charge in the lobby. Very limited choice of TV programmes.

when we arrived, we were not greeted, no information as to where our room was or anything else. [...] the room was clean and quiet..tv and tea making facilities. nice little pub beside hotel where we had a meal which was nice. stayed one night. when we checked out, the girl at the desk barely acknowledged us or said goodbye..

Hotel was in ideal location for purpose of my visit. The room was clean and warm with a nice view of Dublin bay. The decor/furniture was a little tired/worn, but for the price was acceptable. Location is easily reached by Aircoach from airport and served by several bus routes into City Centre or to nearby Blackrock.

Perfect for my needs, very restful with fantastic view of Dublin Bay. Plenty of free parking and excellent public transport.
