in Laufweite zur Stadt, schönes Zimmer, super Bett, tolle Klimaanlage, Dusche: alt, klein und sperrig, Frühstücksvielfalt: gut - aber der O-Saft ist sehr schlecht (wässrige, künstliche Zuckerbrühe). Das Personal an der Rezeption ist sehr langsam... Fazit: insgesamt empfehlenswert!

hotel rien d exception tres bonne localisation 20 mon environ du centre . chambre correcte ras. petit dejeuner en buffet un peu decevant jus de fruit industriel, charcuterie bas de gamme. mais bon tres bon sejour quand meme car ville vraiment splendide

Grand Hotel Mediterraneo was definitely good value for the money. Only two drawbacks: the hotel was a 20-minute walk from the center of town in the blazing sun when the temp averaged 97 degrees, and many of the hotel staff were not friendly -- generally polite but without warmth.

Great hotel location!
We walked the streets of Florence. We took a train to Venice for a day. We went on a wine tasting tour to Tuscany. The food at the hotel was AWFUL! Needs improvement and the staff at the bar was unfriendly. We did not like the food for the complimentary breakfast. Add waffles or more American type food. This was the BEST hotel room I have had in Europe so far.

Short walk from hotel
The pizza restaurant next to the hotel was AWFUL - we could not even eat it. There was an AWESOME restaurant - go right out of hotel, take a left at light and walk across the Arno river and second street on left ...it's called Trattoria L'Orologio - great home made Italian food. Good gelato across the street from the restaurant.
