Uptown Palace Hotel Milan

Very friendly and nice breakfast. Staffs were very kind Location was very good

The hotel is nice shiny and new, with impeccable staff who are keen to help and it is in a good location 10 minute walk to the Duomo city Center. Free WIFI in lobby and bar 30 minute vouchers available at reception, there is also a couple of PC's with printers available in the lobby again vouchers are available at reception. Our room was a superior, it was clean and quite, has Air conditioning that works, two single beds pushed together, the bathroom was huge with full size bath, rain shower in the bath and a power shower attachment that is hand held, there are twin sinks, toilet and bide, plenty of towels and toiletries. You get slippers and robe also included, there is a safe which is a little more complicated than usual but nothing major. A well stocked mini bar with snacks and flat screen LED TV, Breakfast was buffet style, cereal, juice, fruit, bacon eggs and sausage, pastries, salad, cold cuts, cheese. Over all a score of 4 out of 5 for this hotel. On a negative point, and I must stress that these are observations and niggles more than a reason not to return to this hotel if I were in Milan again, there is no tea making facilities, no free WIFI in your room, the wardrobe is very small and would only hold a few items., no chest of drawers and no drawers on the bedside locker, no storage space for luggage. I requested an iron from reception to be told that it is illegal for hotel guests to have an iron in their hotel room and that housekeeping would be happy to iron any of my clothes at a charge, I though that fine until I looked at the price list €9 to iron 1 shirt it would have cost me €60 to get the few items I wanted ironed before looking at my wife's clothes, this is ridiculous when you consider the cost of staying at this hotel. To summarize if you book and stay here you will not be disappointed.
