Best Western San Germano Hotel Naples

The Staff was extremelly nice and helpfull at this Hotel, what has been rare through our trip to Italy. The hotel was clean, everything works here and they serve a great breakfast.

Quelque deception par rapport a la proprete de la chambre de maniere generale (n°206). La chasse des toilettes dans la salle de bain nous envoyait un peu d'eau lorsque nous la tirions... Au niveau des services, assez grande deception par rapport au garage des voitures ou nous avons du payer 12 euros par jour ca parait tres excessif et surtout non degressif.... La piscine etait tres agreable par contre. cordialement

The hotel was nice - a very good 3* not sure its a 4*. The rooms are basic but clean. Air con included in pricee. Sheets and towels clean every day. Some minor points never sorted - shower curtain a foot too short for the bath so water went everywhere and the safe didn't work in one of our rooms. CAR PARKING EXPENSIVE! Euro 12 a day! we were there for 20 days no discount given. Pool nice. The streets around the hotel are dirty, bins over flowing, beggers on streets and road junctions. only 1 nice place to eat outside the hotel. le 2 pearl its about a 5 min walk. excalibers is about 5 min drive but nice too. carfour near by for water and the odd bottle of wine! We had a car to get into naples and santa lucia (about 15 mins)nice places to eat and walk around. The hotel shuttle is 3 euro return and sometimes too many for the bus - metro good option from agnano station euro 2.60 return. for about 16 euro a boat will take you to capri. its about the same price to go to sorrento or ischia island too.

Good Hotel and good price

A parte qualche fastidioso difetto di struttura, il personale è molto cordiale e disponibile.

I first booked this hotel to try to holiday 'on the cheap' booking a three bed room. I was then told that the room consisted of one double bed and one single (not suitable for myself and my two teenage sons - my fault, I should have checked!). The hotel suggested I book a second room which I did. On arrival at the hotel the man at the desk very politely told us that they did in fact have a three bed room but that it was not available until the following day. However, he let us have two rooms for that night at no extra charge. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the air conditioning is efficient. Breakfast is fine - plenty of choice. The restaurant was quite pricey and there was not a huge choice so I would advise getting a train or bus into town where there are plenty of good value eateries. The area around the hotel is not very attractive but the station (Bagnoli - Terme Agnano) is a ten minute walk away and takes you into town easily and there's plenty to see and do there. Be aware, Neapolitans can come across as rather rude and abrupt. While we were shocked at this at first it actually became rather part of the charm of the place. It's refreshing NOT to be fawned over by waiters. They also appear to have a very relaxed attitude to the law, be it smoking in restaurants, wearing helmets on mopeds or paying for tickets on trains. The worst thing we found about Naples was the rubbish... everywhere.

While the staff were friendly, we arrived at the hotel at 300 pm and were informed that neither their restaurant or the one down the street were open for a meal until 730 pm. We had a baby with us and two starving adults so that did not make us happy. The second day, same thing happened. The breakfast was good, but our last day, Sunday we discovered at 730 pm that the restaurant was not open on Sundays and were left without anything to eat. The hotel is close to a busy street so there was a great deal of noise. The staff were very friendly, but the location is not the best and the food situation, in of all place ITALY, was not good. If you're flexible singles this might work for you, but for families with little ones that need to eat, definitely not.
