Abitalia Tower Plaza Hotel Pisa

The hotel has a nice view of the Pisa tower and it is only a short 2 minute drive from the infamous location. The room had great modern design and the rainfall shower heads were awesome. We had a nice sized patio overlooking the pool. The pool was so sparkling shining when we first arrived and my son was eager to jump in. However due to our schedule we were not able to personally enjoy it but it sure was tempting. The front desk stuff was friendly and the house cleaning lady would say Ciao as we passby. The two drawbacks were: 1. the wooden floor and heavy furniture combination made any movement of the chairs and so on from the floor above making quite alot of noise. 2. when we got to the breakfast around 10, most of the food were empty.

We travelled by car from Rome to Florence, Venice, and back to Pisa. We stayed in some nice 4-5 star hotels but this was the jewel in our trip. The hotel is brand new and has an interesting design like a Pisa tower. Our room was unusually spacious and light with a great view on trees. I loved the modern furniture, a comfy bed and pillows, and a huge bathroom with 2 spacious shower stalls. Their buffet breakfast had everyting what you would expect in a 4-5-star hotel. The business center gave us access to internet for free. And there is alot of FREE parking spaces in the hotel parking lot.

A little far from city center - requires a $15 cab ride to go and come each way. The hotel seems new, but slightly unfinished (utility vents in the room were not properly closed). The hotel is good for wedding receptions and large group events, and anyone who is not part of a large group feels a littel neglected. The BMW-driving front desk attendant had a very haughty attitude, and seems to be doing the job for reasons other than serving the guests.

The hotel was gorgeous and done in a meticulous contemporary design. The hotle staff were very helpful and loved to talk with guests. We felt as if the 100 plus rooms were mostly empty at the time of our visit as we only say about 5 other groups of people during the entire time we were staying at the hotel. Our room was amazing with one of the most technologically advanced television and electrical systems I have ever seen as well as a spectacular view of the Tower of Pisa and the mountainscape behind it. When you enter the room you slide you room card key in a slot that then powers up the lighting in the room which when removed would automatically turn off the lights. When you power on the TV it welcomes you by name and even allows you to utilize the internet from it by using a mouse like direction button to navigate the screen. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were very soft and inviting. We wanted to use the gym, spa, and turkish bath that was advertised, but unfortunately the area was closed. The secondary option wasa nearby Kinetic Center that we could visit but it too was closed as we were there on a Sunday. Needless to say we were not able to go to a spa as we were hoping to while there. Other than this the hotel was amazing! If there was more to do in Pisa we would have been more than happy to spend more nights at this top notch hotel.

Great hotel. Brand new, incredible attention to details. The room was practically spotless, friendly staff, good breakfast. Nice vie of the leaning tower. Perhaps a little bit far if you have too walk. If you are traveling with a car, go to this hotel and then pay for the parking inside the city walls, and you can get the best value.
