Good comfort and value
I only stayed one night so that I could be reasonably close to the airport for an early departure at 5:30 am. The staff gave me all the support I needed including wake up call and a breakfast to go. They arranged a taxi for me which arrived promptly. It was one of the few hotels that had a lower rate for a single room compared to that for a double one.

Short walk from hotel
It is only 146 steps to the Hostaria Pizzeria Le Repubbliche Marinare restaurant where I enjoyed an excellent Tuscan soup and baked sea bream encrusted in sliced potatoes.

Great value for the money
Overall, excellent. Would definately recommend this hotel. Excellent value for the money. Parking was onsite and cheap (10 euros). Breakfast was great and they had a great evening selection of local breads, cheezes, prepared meats, fruits, etc.

Couldn't have been better
Excellent staff, nice room, perfect location. We were a 10-minute walk from the leaning tower, 5 minutes from the train station, and 30 seconds from some great restaurants. And the staff helped us find them all. We left at 5 in the morning to get to the airport, and they called a taxi for us (shuttle not available that early - FYI) and packed us breakfast to go.

Very helpful staff, a clean c
Very helpful staff, a clean comfortable room, lovely breakfast and good location made Hotel Bologna a great place to stay in Pisa. The courtesy bus to the station was appreciated.

Good location, quiet, good breakfast
Very thoughtful - water and snacks offered by reception - brilliant when one is tired and dehydrated. Reception offered several choices of local restaurants and offered to book them - the first offered being nearby and top choice of other website. Breakfast is great - lots of fruit and tiny pastries, but also hot if required. Shuttle to airport offered and works well

Great Accommodation
The hotel is great. Only 10 minutes by taxi from the airport and 15 minutes walk to the tower. It is quiet and the staff are helpful - great breakfast Everything is within walking distance of the hotel. They even let us store us stuff in the hotel as we did not have to be at the airport until 4pm - and they gave us a complimentary ride to the airport even though we had checked out.

Not what I expected
I have traveled in Italy a great deal and found the Hotel Bologna very unusual. First, the single room I had was much, much larger than any I've stayed in before and there was a ceiling light that was bright enough to read by! But, I would not stay there again because it was clearly the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. Some kind of construction was going on from very early morning all day, every day,involving hammers, compressors, and I don't know what all. Also, the street noises were very loud until late at night. In addition, the walls are paper-thin and you can hear everything going on in nearby rooms. Otherwise, the location was very good, the breakfast was excellent, and most of the personnel were polite.

Short walk from hotel
Right around the corner on Via Nunziata (on the way to the main shopping street) is a great bakery and tavola calda. It is open mornings until about 2:00 and again in the early evenings. You can get great inexpensive carry out meals and baked goods when you don't want to go to a restaurant. I think it's called Bologna or Bolognese. It's easy to find (smells great from outside) but the hotel staff only recommended full service restaurants when I asked about where to get a light lunch, so they may not tell you about it.

We had a lovely room at a bargain
We had a lovely room at a bargain price. The room and public areas were immaculate. The full breakfast that was included in the price was outstanding. Computer usage in the lobby was free. Staff was friendly and service was great. The location, about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the leaning tower, was convenient and quiet. We had a lovely meal at a pizzeria (that served lots more than pizza), right across from the hotel. We will definitely be back!

Good in every aspect, clean, helpful
Good in every aspect, clean, helpful staff, nice breakfast. Just one negative point, the free and fast internet Wifi was great but the signal was too low in our rooms (219 and 220) to browse, and I had to sign up from the corridor near the elevators. If it bothers you: bathrooms are very small. Next time I'm in Pise I'll stay there again.
