Santa Croce

E' il recupero di un vecchio convento del 1200, forse ancor prima. Ben tenuto, anche se le camere hanno mantenuto l'impianto delle celle monastiche. Mangiando nel chiostro, si ha un'impressione di pace, serenità, molto suggestivo. I cellulalri funzionano solo in certi punti.

Our visit to Pisa was a very pleasant experience, and this has much to do with the welcoming and smiling atmosphere in the Santa Croce In Fossabanda Hotel. Everyone in the staff are kind and smiling and they'll do almost everything to improve your visit. The Hotel is situated within a 15 minutes walk from the the city-center, the rooms are quiet, and the Hotel itself is an architectural pearl - with old frescoes and well-restored building details both inside and in the courtyard. We will most certainly come again.

The receptionists - with one exception - were not attentive enough. The breakfast service is weak; the coffee machine was broken and no one bothered to fix it for a long time. Though, the place is very clean and modern - the rooms are well furnished and they are equipped with LCD TVs and air conditioning. It is a bit far from the city center which can be reached on foot in about 20-25 minutes. The elevator was slow and often occupied.

Best place we stayed while in Italy. Great location easy access to city and leaning tower, very helpful staff, quiet and unique as old monastary. Can only recommend it.

这家酒店是一个修道院改建的（不过之前还做过医院），装潢也是力求重建当年僧侣住在里面时的情景，整洁之余，也非常有特色。景色很不错，不过每天早晨好像还会敲钟，比萨这么小的地方，大概很多人都想要睡个懒觉吧…… 总体来说，非常好！

Average hotel, nothing bad to say about it.

The hotel has a unique atmosphere. It is very clean, about 20 minutes walk from the centre of Pisa. What's more, breakfast was really delicioius.....

We loved the silence of the place, the spacious and high corridors with their vaulted ceilings and faced frescoes, the elegant cloister and its surrounding columns, and the simple and clean lines of the rooms and their finishes. One feels more a pilgrim than a tourist. We'll happily return any day.

The hotel has been a monastry and they have tried to restore it with that in mind. So the hotelrooms are the old cells where the munks or nuns slept. Except for the bathroom the rooms are really naked cells. White washed bare walls. They could have decorated a little, if only with a religious picture or something. The charm of this hotel is outside. The garden and the outside landing outside all the cells, are marvellous and we brought a chair and enjoyed our lunchpack. At night we enjoyed the moon. Really nice and peaceful except an occational plane passing by.
