My husbannd and I spent 2 nights
My husbannd and I spent 2 nights here recently. At first we were given a room on the 1st floor and it smelt of stale cigarettes. They changed us straight away and after that we had no problems at all. It would be nice if the 664 bus timetable were displayed in hotel. It is a long walk to Colle Albani (to the underground). I would stay here again.

I thought that the hotel would
I thought that the hotel would be too far away from the city centre but the transport system costing only 1 euro for a trip or 4 euro for unlimited daily travel is superb and it takes just 20/25mins to the main terminus,with easy onward access.The hotel staff were very welcoming and full of information(also check out the monthly whats on guide)the room was of medium to large size very clean comfortable,breakfast was also plentiful coffee strong and hot.All in all an exceptional hotel at this price we will certainly stay again.

Friendly and Informed
The staff were all very friendly and even humurous in one instance, which also means their command of the english language was excellent. We appreciated the special effort of the front desk to give us detail information on where to look for eating with the local people and how to get around the city while spending the least amount on both city tours and ordinary transportation. Appia's breakfast was like everything else, excellent and the staff was better than expected. Overall this was a great place to stay.

Short walk from hotel
There are two places nearby for getting bus tickets and the bus stop is about a block from where you get the ticket. The bus takes you to the Metro and that quickly whisks you to major areas of interest.
