Bon Hôtel, bien placé, bon peti-déj!
Bon Hôtel, confortable, propre, bien placé (à 4mn de la gare Termini), très bon peti-déj, Wifi gratuit, personnel qui parle bien français et anglais... J'y retourne sans hésitation !

Expected more from a Best Western Hotel
Conveniently located but my room 201 was dark and airless so I asked for a change. Room 501 was no better and I was in the lobby at 2:00 AM reading the paper and told them I needed a room with a window and light as I couldn't breathe in that room. Changed to room 602, the third time was the charm. Seemed freshly renovated, had a window that opened and plenty of light and sky. The carpet had seen better days and should be changed. The staff worked very hard to get me a nice room.Although the hotel was rated 4 stars, I felt it was a two plus.

Very small room and very small
Very small room and very small bathroom. Location is in Asian quarter, but very close to the mail raiway station - Roma Termini. In everything the hotel is fine.

great hotel and service
we visited Rome for 1 week and stayed at the best western ambra. great hotel, staff, location, and included breakfast.

1) bring enough euro's to pay for taxi. exchange US dollars for euros in the country you're staying. better exchange rate. 2) you can haggle to get batter rates on trips and hop on/off buses. we used a girl (tati) next to the termini station. she was not pushy and offered great ideas. the price for a trip to capri is $127, we paid $115. other trip sellers were very pushy and rude.

good value, good base for exploring Rome
Good value, wonderful little hotel 5 minute walk from the train station and convenient to metro. If you are sturdy and not afraid of the immigrant nature of the neighborhood it is a great hotel base for exploring Rome.

Nice but too highly rated.
This was a 10 day vacation to Rome. 10 days in a very small room with a tiny bathroom and smallest shower is difficult. The staff is very nice and helpful and the breakfast buffet was very good. Not enough good restaurants around. It is less than a block from the subway and getting around is easy, but it located in a corner of Rome and it's difficult to walk to any sights.

Suitable hotel, kind of scary location!
The hotel itself was alright. The beds were kind of hard, the street noise was considerable, many scary men wandering around at night. Free internet and a meal in the morning was nice. The staff was very friendly, which turned our stay around. Housekeeping was good. If possible, ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

Short walk from hotel
There is a restaurant 3 mins up the hotel's street on the opposite side of the street which was very good and a reasonable price. Ask the front desk which one it was; it was very near a laundromat.
