Caravaggio Hotel Rome

The room was attractive and large by European standards, but the queen size bed was hard and uncomfortable. Our room didn't receive daily cleaning service (only there 2 days and didn't report it to the front desk until checkout because we got in late). Helpful staff, happy hour snacks, good breakfast, and excellent location still make for a good place to stay.

Pros: -Short walk to most major sites. -Supermarket located within a 5 min stroll Cons: -Really old building. The elevator attests to that.

Clean room. Well maintained. Boutique style. Everything you need is in 5 min walking distance. The staff is professional, but can be taken as unfriendly. This is the culture. You gotta love the 18th century elevator....lol! It works great, but looks like it should be part of a museum.

Enjoyed our stay here. Staff were professional but for the most part, unfriendly. Breakfasts were good and breakfast staff were very friendly and the service was great (capacinos were excellent). Room was clean and within walking distance to many attractions. Short walk to underground for vatican, etc.

I did not like this hotel. It is not close to any of the sites and my room was unpleasant. No internet access in the room and cell phone or 3G network is not available in the room either.

Location was ideal... 10 min walk to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, ext ext.... Less than a 3 min walk from the U and bus stops. Staff was great, pointing out great "local places" to eat instead of the expensive garbage around the main attractions. Continental breakfast was wonderful, coffee made to order, fresh croissants, bread, cereal cheeses, quite enough to tide you over until a late lunch. The rooms were perfect in my opinion. Bigger than some I have stayed in. Not huge but enough room for you to sleep, shower and get dressed comfortably. Oh, and a happy hour every night, wine and light finger foods. Would most definitely stay here again.

We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed every minute. Greeting us after a long flight the staff was delightful. He showed us to the beautiful filigree elevator door. Our luggage and the 3 of us filled the elevator, so he ran up the stairs to show us to our room. Breakfast was quite plentiful served in a lovely room. We loved the hotel and Rome.

The hotel was good. We travelled in October and the location is very convenient, close to Termini rail station and also to center of Rome and old ruins. The rooms are small but we expected it, so overall it was a good experience.

Première chambre refusée ( Tv et chasse d'eau ne fonctionnaient pas et le sommier était constitué d'une planche!). Deuxième chambre: mieux mais le frigo ne fonctionnait pas. De plus, l'accès au premier étage des chambres de l'hôtel se fait par un hall et un très vieil ascenseur très sales. Les chambres propres sont très mal insonorisées et le petit déjeuner frugal se passe dans un local très exigu! Nous n'y retournerions pas.
