- Located next to the White Hotel and within immediate walking distance from the Trevi Fountain, the Grill & Wine Bar features a cosy and stylish atmosphere where the original touch of the American style is matched with typically Italians tastes and flavours. The true specialty of the house is a vast choice of absolutely fresh meat, fish, seafood and vegetables cooked on a lava stone grill. This particular stone is extremely smooth and compact and confers an unmatched flavour upon all foods. The superb mix of grilled food and an outstanding selection of Italian, French and Californian wines will be accompanied by a discreet and professional service making every single rendez-vous the most pleasant of occasions. At lunchtime we are pleased to offer a plain menu rich in the perfumes and flavours of the Mediterranean cuisine. In the evening, dinner is pleasantly accompanied by live Jazz Blues music. Open 7 days a week, from 12:30 pm to 1 am (closed on Wednesdays for lunch).

Excellent location! Just steps to the fontana di trevi. nightlife and historic sites at walking distance The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. the room was great and includes daily breakfast

Tarkkana huoneiden kanssa
Hotelli oli hyvällä sijainnilla Fontana di Trevin tuntumassa, aamiainen hyvä, huone siisti. Otimme premium-huoneen, joka oli meille hyvä valinta. Tullessamme meidät kuitenkin ohjattiin standard-huoneeseen, joka oli pieni, tunkkainen koppi. Hetken ihmeteltyämme menin selvittämään asiaa, ja saimme tämän premium-huoneen. Erinäisistä syistä käsitykseksemme jäi, ettei "virhe" ollut vahinko, vaan tapa rahastaa. Tarkkana on siis syytä tässä hotellissa olla.

The Rome Experience
While in Rome, it is about location, location and location. We stayed at the =White Hotel which is located ion the center of Rome. Because of where it is situated we wer able to walk to 90% of the attractions that we wanted to see. These included the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, The Coloseum, Roman Forum and the Pantheon We did go to Vatican City and this was the only one we had to get transportation for. Stepping out of your hotel door we were also surrounded by several levels of restaurants, from the street pizza ristorantes, to the more upscale ristorantes. The White Hotel is very nice with comfortable rooms for Europe and very helpful and friendly staff. I would not hesitate staying there again.

I would recommend getting a guided tour for the The Coloseum and the Vatican museums. You learn so much more than if you were on your own.

Staff was excellent. They were knowledgeable, helpful, courteous, etc. The breakfast was also excellent. The room is somewhat small. Nevertheless, it did not diminish the enthusiasm I had for the locale.

Plan what you want to see and when to see it. Try the Fodors guide to Rome. Study the bus schedule and the Metro(subway). THe Metro is 1 euro per trip. Use a bank or you're bank credit card for the fairest deal on money exchange. YOu should probably let your credit card company know you will be overseas. I had no trouble with my bank issued Visa.

Great Place to stay!
The hotel was centrally located just steps from the Trevi Fountain. Rooms were clean and neat and average size for European hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Several litlle trattorias and ristorantes just steps fron front of hotel.Am planning to go back and will probably stay there again.

If it's your first time in Rome utilize some of the guided tours [...]. To really SEE Rome you need about 3 weeks. But the tours will hit the high points and provide you with lots of info about what you are seeing. If you plan to visit the Borghese Gallery, call ahead and make a reservation. Otherwise you take the chance of them being booked. Check the weather forecast before you go. We did and I thought I took a heavy enough coat, but didn't factor in humidity. So I ended up buying a warmer one.

Clean Hotel in Great Location
This hotel is in a great location and was an excellent value. We were able to walk everywhere and were right in the middle of the action the moment we walked out of the hotel. The room was clean with a nice bathroom. Breakfast included was a nice bonus. We will absolutely stay here again.

Lovely Hotel
Delightful hotel on a busy (great if you love people watching --- and we do) narrow street just a couple of blocks from Trevi Fountain. Very quiet hotel convenient to most of ancient Rome's attractions. Convenient restaurants, shopping, etc. Rooms are fairly small, but that was to be expected. We were so glad to discover that our air conditioning remained on even when we were not in the room so we returned from a very hot day of walking to a cool room. Front desk staff were very helpful and fluent in English. Room included a good European style breakfast buffet. Would definitely recommend to others.

Even though we booked sight-seeing trips on Orbitz and had our vouchers, when the concierge called to confirm and arrange hotel pick-up the tour agent changed all our dates. Be flexible as this seemed to be quite normal for the tour agents. Loved Umbria, Orvieto and Assisi - definitely worth visiting.

unbeatable location
Like this hotel a lot. great location, in the heart of Rome 3 minutes from Trevi Fountain. the hotel is surounded with a lot of restaurants, coffee shops stores and a lot of people day and night. For sure I will stay there again.

Quality
Hotel was at perfect location for first-time tourists - easily within walking distance of everything. Room was a little small, but nice compared with other European hotel rooms. And it was kept up very well. We had a room facing an interior courtyard, so noise wasn't a problem. Staff very helpful.
