A good place to stay
The bellhops were the best. It is far from the center of the city. But very easy ride on the Metro to most places. It just cost every time you wanted to go somewhere. Few restaurants in walking distance. The breakfast was just ok, I have seen better in other hotels of the class. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. The rooms in the front have veiw, the ones in the back don't.

Altis Park Hotel Lisbon
Because we had difficulty finding the Altis Hotel shuttle at the Lisbon airport, we had to call the hotel several times to find the location of the shuttle. Due to our difficulty, the hotel without any prompting, gave us an upgrade to a suite where we were able to see the sunrise over the Atlantic in the morning. Very accomodating and breakfast was very good, with something for every taste. Only complaint was the hotel hallways were dingy and needed updated. but the location of the hotel was very close to the airport and only $8.00 by taxi.

Short drive from hotel
Did not enjoy the Lisbon by night tour. The guide was horrible in English and no one could understand anything. Complete waste of money and we were taken to a dinner and show where the singing was horrible and we were there for 2 hours. It was not at all what we wanted and had been on many tours for days before this one. Would not ever recommend this and the guide, [...] should never be allowed to do this again to any travelers! A rip off of grand proportion.

Easy to get to on public transport,
Easy to get to on public transport, attentive service, good room, good breakfast, shuttle to the airport, all for an excellent price.

Great Lisbon hotel
We booked this hotel because it was close to airport and had a restaurant - for the one night stopover in flight from Africa back to New York. It was perfect. And our 10th floor room had a wonderful view of the city! The advertised airport shuttle worked for our morning departure (it only runs 3-4 times per day - however, taxi is not that expensive). Staff was very attentive - fluent in English, and probably most other major European languages.

Very nice restaurant with a reasonably priced dinner buffet the night we were there - free breakfast buffet with room. Upscale attention to details.
