Overall we enjoyed our stay here.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here. The reception staff were very good and the brakfast service was also good. The only disappointment was the bar staff in the upstairs bar. They were inattentive and too busy chatting to each other rather than looking after guests.

Best Hotel View in Lisbon
Behind a striking façade in the most beautiful part of Lisbon, the unique Hotel do Chiado occupies the top 2 floors of the famous Armazens do Chiado building. This historical landmark was painstakingly rebuilt a few years ago to the highest standards. Free broadband WiFi in all rooms and public areas throughout the hotel. Perfect location This chic luxury establishment is situated in the heart of the Chiado and adjoining the Bairro Alto district of Lisbon, right in the cultural centre of this historic and picturesque capital city. Lisbon's oldest and most famous shopping area – Chiado and Largo do Chiado, recognized amongst the 7 wonders of Portugal are right outside the hotel. Paris has the Eiffel Tower and Lisbon has the Santa Justa … a viewing platform where people visit and pay for the views, it adjoins the hotel and shares the same fantastic panorama; the hotel overlooks Sao Jorge Castle with wonderful views to the sea. Lovely small hotel in the heart of Lisbon. Staff very friendly and helpful. The star attraction is the roof terrace with panaromic views over Lisbon.

Dingy and disappointing
Lisbon is a pretty gritty city. I wish I had spent a few days at the coastal towns, e.g. Caix Caiax or Estorial, and visited Lisbon for a day tour instead of the other way around.
