Heritage Av Liberdade Hotel

We did a lot of research before selecting this hotel and it paid off. The location in the downtown area made it very easy to walk to many places, including the public transportation hub. The size of the hotel was small and intimate with the overall feel being unique rather than "chain". The staff took great care in answering questions about eating, transportation, etc. I wish I could find a hotel like this in every city!

Our stay at the Heritage Av Libertade was fabulous. The room was clean and quiet, the breakfasts were delicious, and the location is within walking distance of museums, shopping and restaurants. We took the metro to the world class aquarium, visited several parks, walked to old town and the antique district, and walked to the Gulbenkian Museum. The staff was warm, friendly, welcoming and helpful with directions and restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. We enjoyed our stay at the Heritage Libertade and would recommend it.

Free breakfast from 7 to 12pm! Not continental, eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, ham, turkey, cheese, olives, yogurt, cereal, fresh coffee with warmed milk, espresso machine, freshly squeezed orange juice. I can't remember everything but it was great. Great staff, with perfect restaurant and fado restaurant recommendations. They actually reimbursed us for a funicular ride, our trip on the train to Cascais, and our bus to the airport! I'd never heard of such a thing. And always with a smile. The room was nice, we got a free upgrade to a superior room, I'm not sure why, but it was fantastic. The location is hard to beat. It's about five minutes to the Bairro Alto, on one end of the Rua das Portas de Santa Antao, which has all these wonderful cafes, close to Marques da Pombal and Largo Rossio. And we actually walked to the Castelo in 15 minutes or so. Highly recommended and satisfied!

The hotel is an attractive, cozy and friendly place. It is very clean, attractively decorated and inviting. The staff are amazing; friendly, warm, hardworking, patient, especially with all the questions tourists might have, and are always ready to give directions on how to get around . Having clear directions made my trip even more enjoyable !!! The hotel was located in an area that made it accessible and easy to get around lisbon and even outside of lisbon. The buses, trams ,metros, taxis and tour buses were all in walking distance from hotel. Oh and the breakfast at the hotel which was included was absolutely delicious...I looked forward to it every morning...yogurt, fresh fruit, dried fruit, eggs, sausage, bacon ham , different kinds of cheeses, breads, cereals, jams, fresh orange juice, tomato juice, grapefruit different kinds of coffees, teas, cake , pastries etc. All high quality food . I highly recommend this small wonderful hotel!!!!

Friendly attendants. Great Location. Beautyful decoration of rooms. A very pleasant experience. Will be back.

Only thing I would change is I wish the pool was heated. Otherwise this is the place to stay for anyone who likes quiet & superior service. The room was gorgeous. I would stay here again and would recomend it to couples especially. The "American breakfast" served from 7 am to noon, is included in rom price and is more than enought to get you going till the late afternoon.

The Heritage hotel was great. Great location, clean and modern, fantastic service - the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

An overall excellent hotel with a very helpful front desk. The breakfast was fine and internet access was an added feature for Lisbon. I would stay there again and also recommend to friends. The hotel accomodated a very early arrival(9am) with a ready room.
