Residencial Modelo Hotel Lisbon

The place is horrible, it has colossal stairs with no elevator, the room is small and old and very moldy, I did not feel comfortable taking shower there. Cannot recommend it

When I first checked in, I thought that if this hotel had one more star, it would qualify as a dump. But about 15 minutes after I got to my room, a staff member arrived with a big plate of fruit, and I saw the hotel for what it is - VERY basic, but clean, comfortable, and with a helpful staff, The room had only one electric outlet but had good lighting. There is no internet, and the hotel does not even have an email address. It is located within a two minute walk of one major metro station and a five minute walk to another one on a different line - very convenient for getting around the city. It is very close to a major, active square, just a short walk to the banks of the Tagus river, and close to bus stops, including the airport bus. The main downside is that the hotel is on a street with dozens of outdoor restaurants, so you get a lot of noise from them until 11 PM (but finding a restaurant is convenient). Then the street cleaners and garbage trucks come through well into the early morning. Fortunately, I can sleep through a nuclear war. Also, the rooms have fairly sound-proof French doors that block out the street noise. But since there is no air conditioning, you'll want to keep them open in warm weather. At the normal rates, the hotel is OK value for the money. Just don't expect any amenities. I was in Lisbon for a major conference, and like all the hotels in town, this one, too, boosted its rates more than three-fold. (Some hotels jacked up their rates more than that.) If all you want is a comfortable bed or two twin beds in a clean room with a friendly, helpful, English-speaking staff, and bargain prices (under normal circumstance), this place is downright OK.

Dit is ongetwijfeld de beste plaats om te boeken als je er even tussenuit wilt en niet veel op je kamer verblijft. De locatie van het hotel is geniaal. Je stapt buiten in het centrum van de stad. Alles is op wandelafstand. Het personeel spreekt verschillende talen en zal je altijd bijstaan met een woordje uitleg. De kamers werden elke dag netjes gelegd door een vriendelijke huishoudster. Dit is het beste hotel dat ik al gehad heb tijdens een citytrip. Lissabon is af!

The location is excellent--close to the Metro, close to the river, close to upscale shopping. We could not have been better situated. The hotel entrance is very modest and the rooms are small but we were happy overall.

Con poca spesa potrebbe migliorare molto: bagno, peraltro ampio, non riscaldato e ventola non funzionante, acqua calda non miscellabile, rubinetteria molto scomoda in piastrelle degradate, porta d'ingresso al bagno non chiudible dalla stanza.

Unica nota positiva, che però nel nostro caso era un dettaglio importante, posizione centralissima! Per il resto non è proprio un grand hotel! Però ci si può adattare! Parcheggi esterni pubblici un pò cari, 20€ al giorno! Nel complesso non penso che ci tornerei nè consiglierei!

Pas de chauffage, très bruyant, pas d'ascenseur, aucun service, chambre petite sans aucun équipement, salle de bain sommaire et en état médiocre.

Se trata de un hotel sencillo y limpio con personal amable. Lo mejor es su situación, en pleno centro, rodeado de bares y restaurantes y también cerca de la oficina de turismo, de las plazas Rossio y del Comercio, y de varios tranvías, autobuses o estaciones de metro. Desde luego lo mejor es la situación. Las habitaciones resultan silenciosas a pesar de estar en una zona animada. Los muebles son viejos, pero está todo limpio, y hay agua caliente abundante, aunque hay que tener cuidado de no quemarse. Me parece que por lo que cuesta el hotel está muy bien, no se puede pedir más.
