Most of the room are located at the back of the hotel, to a peaceful courtyard, which guarantees the rest of the hotel guests; however the hotel have some rooms at the front of the hotel, with views to the monumental Old Atocha railway station and the new one designed by Moneo. All the rooms are equipped with modern flat screen TV, telephone, Wi.FI internet access, minibar, working desk, choice of pillows, bathroom with bathtub and integrated shower, mirror, bathroom amenities and hairdryer. NH Sur near Atocha Station
The primary asset of this hotel is its location, across the road from the Atocha staion and within a couple of blocks of the top Madrid museums. Our room was fine, but we have several complaints: We did not realize that the breakfast buffet cost 16 euros. The buffet was fine, but we did not really want much. Another problem is internet. First, the free wireless is available only in the lobby. There is a computer available in the lobby that can be used by credit-card payment. I have not dealt with this yet, but for checking flight connections for a couple of minutes that was supposed to cost less than 2 euros, my credit-card bill is showing $65 charged!

Short walk from hotel
Coming from Atocha, one can exit on Infanta Isabel to avoid having to cross busy roads. Go past the Metro entrances and up either a staiway or an elevator to be within a block of the hotel. Also, there is a new train from Atocha directly to the airport, C-1 on Circanias for about 2.5 euros.
