Aladdin Hotel Istanbul

This Aladdin hotel was full and we were sent to another hotel, which doesn't seem like a hotel but kind of like an apartment. They just gave us a ride to this hotel, and even explain us where this hotel was at. No soap, no wifi access. There's no front desk. Entrance is locked so you need to call someone both when you go out and come back. The area around the hotel was not touristy. It is at the bottom of a big hill so you need to walk up the steap hills to go to the major sightseeing spots. I would recommend the Aladdin hotel but not this apartment like place so make sure with them that you are staying at the hotel, not this apartment-like place.

There are people speaks English. Location is good.--very close to the main street, mosks, and tram line so easy access to everywhere. Room was very clean. It seems like walls are thin, and you hear the next door and outside noise. (Outside is always noisy.) When we stayed over at the outside city one night and came back to this hotel, we were sent to their another hotel, which was more spacious, but it was at the bottom of the long hill, and we had to walk all the way up to the big street with a tram line.

Good basic boutique hotel. Wwe left before experiencing breakfast, no comment there. Otherwise a nice little room in the middle of all the places you want to see.

Hotel assez bien situé en plein coeur du quartier de Sultanhamet. Nous avons fais la plupart des sites à pied et de belles balades en perspective. Beaucoup de restaurants aux alentours. Le personnel y est agréable et respectueux (notamment lors de grâce matinée ;). Le petit déjeuner est quand à lui normal mais pas extraordinaire. Légumes et viennoiseries, rien de bien compliqué ! Attention tout de fois au jus d'orange en poudre et au café mal dosé !! On préférera le thé à la pomme traditionnel redilué (car très fort). Il pourra se prendre en terrasse également avec vue sur le Bosphore et la mosquée Saint Sophie. Les chambres sont confortables, spacieuses et bien insonorisées. Petit plus lors du départ : Nous avons pu laisser nos bagages pour nous promener une dernière fois avant de rejoindre l'aéroport. Un hôtel à recommandé donc ! :)

The Aladdan hotel is in a great location and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are extremely small. I stayed for 2 nights - the first night they put me in Rm 104 - this very tiny room did not have a window and the bathroom was slightly larger than a telephone booth. Television not working properly. To make matters worse, it was just next to the elevator and the constant movement of the elevator did not provide for a good rest. The room backed to a busy street and there was restaurant music through the night. A rooster was heard at 4:00am. First night was terrible for lack of sleep. Second night I requested a move to a room with a window (like advertised). Moved to Rm 301. Small room, better bathroom and nice view from window. Problem was there was no hot water, but the front desk was able to fix. Breakfast was adequate. Sunny eating room. Upstairs roof patio has nice view. Apart from the central location, this hotel was overpriced for value received. Would not stay here again if back in Istanbul.

This small friendly hotel is close to everything. We loved the breakfasts every morning and the smiles on the efficient staff. Two things that are an absolute must see when visiting Istanbul is the cistern and Hagia Sophia which is about five minutes from the hotel. We recommend trying to get a room at the back of the hotel as the front bedrooms tend to be noisy with garbage removal late at night.

A very nice surprise - right in the middle of downtown Istanbul. Walking distance of all the sights, very clean comfortable (although small) rooms, and the English-speaking staff was amazing. You just cannot beat this hotel.

Very clean, very basic accomodations. Right in the middle of historic and downtown Istanbul. 40 minute ride from/to Ataturk airport via the Metro/tram for less than $3 one way. It is one block from the tram stop in Sultanahmet, down an "alley" lined with shops and outdoor restaurants, which serve delicious food. Blue Mosque is 5 minute walk, Grand Bazaar is 8 minutes. The in-room internet didn't work (that was the only drawback), but there are 2 free computers in the lobby. English speaking staff. You can't beat this location for this price. Perfect for singles or couples.

This hotel is in the middle of everything you want to see and do in Istanbul. It is very clean - in fact, the linens have a wonderful smell to them that makes the bed very inviting. There are good restaurants all around and the terrace is spectacular. It looks as if you can reach over and touch the Blue Mosque and Haga Sofia, and you have a spectacular view of the Bosphorus and Topkapi Palace. The staff was were very friendly and helpful. They booked tours and airport transfer. The school I worked for booked me into 2 other hotels in Istanbul and they were horrible. I am planning to go back and will DEFINITELY stay at the Aladdin!

Hotel was located in the best location right in the heart of Sultanahmet- short walking distance to all the touristy sites (mosques, palaces, museums, etc). The map provided by the friendly staff was excellent and helped navigating throughout the city. The free breakfast included was a nice surprise as well. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend for anyone traveling to Istanbul.
