Eresin Crown Hotel Istanbul

When I booked this hotel I had the uncertainty it would be a good place to stay , based on the look of the hotels web page . Once we arrived we found the hotel to be very well located , next door to the Blue Mosque and Haga Sofia . The lobby is really nice , it has marble flooring and a very welcoming bar/restaurant area . The staff was great , they all spoke english and they were always willing to help. The hotel also has a great roof terrace that oversees the ocean and some of the mosques . The room was pretty big , it had 2 comfortable beds , flat screen , closet , safe , and a spacious bathroom with a tub and marble fittings for the sink . I reckon Eresin Crown has all you need for a good stay in Istanbul . The only set back of this hotel is that you will be woken up at 5 am every day because of the loud speakers of the blue mosque . Some may find this interesting the first day , afterwards its a pain in the neck .

This hotel has a fantastic location to sightseeing in the old city. It was clean and the decore was tasteful and put together well. The staff was helpful. It had one of the most delious breakfast buffets that I have encountered in my travels. The only down side was that the hotel staff would come in to the room even when the do not disturb sign was up.

The Ersine Crowne has a lot to recommend: very clean, well-appointed lobby and rooms; friendly, competent, capable staff; fine breakfast buffet; decent location ... The problem, for me at least, was the room size. Far too small. No matter how clean or lovely, for the price it was a shoebox. Now that Istanbul has become very expensive, this is to be expected. But at $180 a night I could have gotten a better room in an equally if not more expensive city - like New York, or San Francisco. For its service, cleanliness and elegance, the hotel deserves its 4-star rating. But the rooms are 2-star size, even by Europe's Liliputian standards (and these days, Istanbul out-Europes Europe in everything from food to nightlife). Perhaps if Ersine Crowne lowered its prices I'd consider returning, and it is a hotel I would recommend, but next time I return to what is truly one of the world's greatest cities, I'll shop around.

The hotel was just great. Located in Sulthanamet the centre of the historic Istanbul, is a great place to stay, and it has a friendly staff. It has a wonderful terrace with a great view that looks upon the Blue Mosque. Higly reccomendend!!!

The Eresin Crown is a small boutique hotel. The rooms are on the smaller side but very clean and neat. The bathroom was spotless and all marble. The staff took care of all of our needs. We requested a taxi at 6:00 AM and it was at the front of the hotel in five minutes. The staff double checked the fare with the driver so we would know what to expect. Location is excellent for all of Istanbuls attractions. We felt very safe and comfortable at this hotel.
