Legend Hotel Istanbul

hotel ist alt aber sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites personal.zimmer werden täglich gereinigt und sind suauber. kapalicarsi ( basar ), tramstation und restorants sind in wenigen minuten erreichbar. blaue mosche ist zu fuss in wenigen minuten erreichbar. hotel befindet sich in einer top lage.

Clean, great location, traditional hotel, washroom could be updated, however it was very clean.

Upon arrival at 11:00 pm, we were told that we had a water problem and we had walk severl blocks to another hotel -- where the room for two was not bigger than 8x12 feet. The next day, we moved to the original hotel and were given a slightly larger room. The people at the desk were extremely friendly, but for the price we paid, they are several notches belelow Motel 6. Not worth the price.

j'ai passé un bon sejour entre shopping et visites 'la mosquée bleue est incroyable ..unique au monde . concernant l'hotel acceuillant ,bonne equipe,chambres et locaux propres mais a aprt ca les chambres sont pas spacieuses avec une moquette tres vieilleet tachée, toilettes et lavabo tres etroites et ma placés, armoire cassée et risque de tomber a moindre geste, en dehors de la chambre le resto vraiment tres petit ,petit dejeuner tres maigre . implantation en bas de sultanahmet il faut y remonter a presque 150 m pour rejoindre la grande rue en gros hotel merite pas 3 etoiles mais peut etre 2 pas moins

If your number one priority in an Istanbul hotel is its location and don't plan to actually spend much time at the hotel itself this might be a good choice. It is only three blocks from the Grand Bazaar and a short walk to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Aya Sofya. As for the hotel itself there were some issues. For starters the power went off twice while I was there, once for five minutes and once for several hours. The room had a "mini bar" which was actually a small, broken refrigerator with a few cans of warm soda and bottled water that was not replenished. The only bathroom amenity was a small, unwrapped bar of soap--nothing else. There was a continental breakfast available with a very meager offering. There was an old fashioned radiator with no discernible way of turning it off so the room was very hot. The staff was generally friendly and spoke English well.

We had a great time in this hotel. The service was great, the breakfast was fresh and more than enough (refilled continuously), the room was small but the beds were comfortable. The Legend Hotel is situated in the middle of all the highlights of Istanbul. The staff is very willing to help you out with advice and excursions. If you don't expect the Hilton, this is your hotel. You get great value for the price. Warmly recommended.

What a great hotel! It was what you expect from a European hotel. The location was amazing, off the beaten path but close to many major sight seeing spots. The service was outstanding, the view from breakfast was amazing and most importantly the room was very clean. When I return to Istanbul I will be staying at this hotel again.

Generally excellent hotel in a great central location with brilliant views from the dining room and the roof terrace. Unfortunately the roof terrace was undergoing a refit whilst we were there so the planned roof top lounging could not happen, and our room was low down with no balcony so we could't lounge their either. regardless, assuming the roof terrace refit is complete, i would definately recommend this hotel.
