Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Oakland Airport

We had a horrible experience at this hotel. We needed a hotel for a few hours of sleep before catching our flight and thaught this would be great, it was soo cold that we frooze all night, it never did get warm with the heater up as high as it would go!!, It was also soo dirty that we were afraid to sleep in the bed, we slept with our clothes, and shoes on and used our own clothes for blankets..Very unhappy with this place, the price was not that great for the condition of the hotel.. The office was the first tip that I would not be happy, it was very dirty,no curtains or blinds, stains all over the couhces and carpet..We will NEVER stay here again!!

The hotel was nice and it was really close to airport. One thing that was disappointing was there was a party going on and the music didn't stop till midnight and we had to get up at 3am to catch a flight. The party was at the the hall in the middle of the courtyard so no matter what room you would of been in you would of heard it all night,

The best that can be said about this motel is that it is cheap (for the area) and close to the airport. NOT a 'resort'.

We stayed one night at the beginning of our trip when our flight got in late, and one more night at the end of our trip before our flight left super early in the morning. We were pretty much just there to sleep, and that's about all you would want to do there. I gave staff an "average" rating .... but really the night shift guy was below average, while the morning guy was above average. The hotel has complimentary continental breakfast and a complimentary shuttle that took us to the airport and even to the rental car return (which is a couple miles from the airport). As my title says, overall, good for price and location ... but the 4 and 5 star reviews on here are unrealistic.

This is definitely not somewhere I would choose to stay if it weren't the cheapest option close to the airport with a free airport shuttle. Pretty bare bones, and the mattress was pretty spongy.

Arrived at the front desk and the manager was friendly, and fast. Got into my room and it was nice and clean, I felt comfortable. I would stay here anytime[...] !

It's ok for the location

The first thing we noticed was the smell of clorox? or other strong cleanser. The bathroom small window was open, so we figured that at least we could be sure the rooms were clean and the odor would dissipate. We left in a hurry and came back late to find that he odor was still there. So we tried opening the balcony door. Not possible. So, OK, we tried opening the two big windows. Not possible. By then, too late to ask for another room. Then the handle of the toilet fell off! We were forced to take off the top of the toilet tank and stick our hand into the water to lift the suction thingy every time we flushed. We used the shower stall and found water leaking out into the floor. Disappointing and irritating. The beds and pillows were soft, but the odor of the cleanser and the lack of circulation of air made for a fitful sleep.

The hotel is clean, nearby the airport (main reason to stay there+price). Is the cheapest hotel I'd found in that area. For one night was good. The staff was kind and is quiet to sleep. I'd say was a good decision.

Real close to airport, Older hotel, unique circular shape, the interior landscaping is wonderful but there is a car rental agency being run out of the motel and the exterior is mostly parking lot. The rooms have been redone, but something is missing--hard to say exactly what--it's just a bit off. Great place for early morning flights--Staff is helpful. It's clean, close and an inexpensive place to stay.
