Clean, comfortable, and close to UCR
This hotel provides good value for the money. The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff is friendly. Walking distance to UCR, to the University Village, and to various restaurants. A really good place to stay if you are visiting the university for a few days.

Best Hotel Near UC Riverside
Convenient for visiting UC Riverside. Hotel and rooms are clean and in good condition. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking lot well lit. This seems to be the best hotel I have found in the area. The neighborhood, especially to the west, is a little "dicey", but I always feel very safe when I am staying here. I always stay here when visiting UCR but I do wish, that at the price, there was a complimentary breakfast offered. It would be convenient since I'm rushed in the mornings, however, there are several fastfood/coffee shop/Starbucks restaurants close by and on the way to UCR.

A few blocks walk or a short drive brings you to Unversity Village Shopping Center where there is a multitude of good cheap eats, ethnic and traditional menues. My favorites are At Thai (Thai food cooked to order and many vegetarian/vegan options) and Pho Vinam (really good pho and spring rolls w/spicy peanut dip).

Hotel was not located close enough to where we needed. We only stayed one night then moved to a closer hotel Our stay was pleasant. The hotel manager was very helpful with out situation.

That Substation Sandwiches is a great family place to eat. Great prices and a wonderfuly family atmosphere. 3663 Canyon Crest Drive. It's actually on the Riverside campus.

Several good and inexpensive restaurants in the nearby University Center (had good Pho, Thai food, and persian food) that is a short walk away.

Tour UC Riverside We were unclear if breakfast was included in the price of the room. No one greeted us at the dining room when we went to eat breakfast to seat us and tell us the cost of the buffet. We then assumed it was part of the price of the room. No one ever brought us a check, we finally asked if there was a charge and the dining room gal said it was $11.80 a person and brought us a check. We would have walked out without paying since we saw everyone else walking out without paying. It needs to be made clear to the guests that there is a charge for breakfast before going into the dining room so we can decide whether to go to a restaurant or not.
