Bay Club Hotel & Marina

We were visiting a local college. Huge flat screen t.v. in room was great. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. Property was pretty. Good location. Room service (supper) was just o.k.. Sink filled up with water when washing. Bathtub had dripping faucet.

Very good staff, excluding John the Bartender who brought the average down!

pretty location but decor is not updated. Good comlimentery shuttle to airport and cruise terminal.

We enjoyed our stay however this hotel could benefit from a remodel. The location was very convenient and the staff was helpful. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding with great service.

The staff were terrific, from the front desk people to the ladies who cleaned our room. Everyone was most helpful. The complimentary breakfast was really good, it changed somewhat every day, and the wait staff were so friendly and efficient. We would reccomend the Bay Club and Marina to anyone who was planning a trip to San Diego. Ask at the front desk for advice on what is interesting around and about and they can tell you lots of places. One teeny tiny thing was, a bit more comfortable mattress, although my husband had no complaints at all.

We needed a break and it was had at Bay Harbor. The front desk, dining and cleaning staff were not only professional but extremely friendly. The location is not high traffic and very pleasant to walk along the Bay. The breakfast is a full spread with service. You are welcomed with a smile and the offer of assistance. The parking is well worth the $5 a day in an underground covered garage. We would definately recommend this hotel.

This was perfect. We were greeted by friendly and accommodating staff at the front desk. The marina view room was exactly as pictured, which was surprising. Saved a bunch of money eating at the hotel's free breakfast. We ate there four mornings in a row, and each time the food and serice was excellent. We stayed four nights, using the pool, hot tub, laundry serice, and room service--and couldn't find one thing wrong. Love this place!

Excellent hotel, views were great, rooms clean, staff very friendly. If I had to pick a downside,they could have used better quality furniture on the patio. Especially with the wonderful view of the harbor.

We had our Memorial Day plans changed at the last minute by a wildfire in the Arizona mountains, so we decided to head in the opposite direction. We found the Bay Club Hotel, and having never stayed on the bay in San Diego, we went for it. Upon arriving on Shelter Island, we were happy with our decision. The location was perfect! Boats and water filled our view. The sea lions playing and following the fishing boats as they docked was a nice touch... The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Our room, with the marina view was just right for our family. We enjoyed the balcony and the view of the boats docked. Our room was clean and neat, and the beds were very comfortable. The underground parking was a nice touch, especially with the elevator access while unloading and loading our luggage. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool, as well as the bar for happy hour. Breakfast was great, with alternating selection of items each morning. I would reccommend this hotel, especially with its close proxinity to Old Town, Little Italy, Balboa and the maritime attractions (seaport village, hornblower cruise). We were just a quick ride to all locations.

The Bay Club was great! We were situated in a room with a nice view of the marina and our porch was semi private and clean. Our 1 year old son had a blast on the porch watching the boats and yachts. There was a nice promanade/walk path across the street on the Coronado Island side of the bay and it lead to a small childrens park. The hotel was clean and the staff was very accomidating. Also, there was a great Happy Hour in the small restuarant/bar. Can't wait to go back!
