Capri by the Sea by ASR

The location of the condo on the beach was fantastic as well as the nice pool that many places do not have on Pacific beach.Our condo needs to be updated. The sofa was so dirty we had to place a sheet over it so we could sit down.The first floor location was not the most desirable due to the fact that everyone walking along the boardwalk could look right up into your living room.The mattress in the bedroom was like sleeping on a giant marshmallow.They had partitioned the bedroom and placed bunk beds on the other side so if you had children or other guests you could use that instead of a 2 bedroom condo.It was nice having free designated parking and all the staff were courteous and helpful.There were beach chairs,an umbrella and boogie boards in the closet for our use which was nice.We have stayed at Capri By the Sea two other times and felt like this condo was not quite as nice as the other two.It would have been better if we had a choice of condos to pick from, since they all are different.

From the moment we walked in the front door, we were awe struck. The view of the ocean was breathtaking. The condo was perfect. They thought of everything, right down to the beach toys and boogie boards. The kitchen was well-equiped with every appliance needed. There was even a jetted tub in the bathroom. Everything was clean and the only sound you could hear was the ocean. It was the most pleasant and relaxing vacation I have ever had. I will definately recommend Capri by the Sea to everyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Capri the condo was very nice and the view was outstanding. [...] We where surprise to find out that there was no one there to check in with and that there was no daily maid service.

The room was spacious we had a wonderful view from our balcony. The staff was very helpful, and we loved that we were right by the beach and in walking distance to everything we wanted to do. I would definatly stay there again!

Each room has different condition, ours was good and nice.

The staff is courteous and friendly and the security on staff overnight at the front desk is attentive and very helpful. The room- unit 102, a 1-bedroom is THE UNIT THAT TIME FORGOT. The owner has apparently forgotten about the place because much of the furniture, accessories and fixtures are dated from the late 70's and 80's' except for the A/V unit (HD, Tivo, surround, etc.); it had a very grungy feel, the dark tile and grout and stained carpets made it hard to walk around barefoot and we had to cover the sofas with blankets to enjoy the living area. But feasting your eyes to the patio gives you a total full-on view of the Pacific Ocean and Beach, which is the big pay-off... until you turn around and see the room, pretty tacky. Other than the room, the people are friendly, the weather is perfect, save for a hazy overcast that cleared up around 230PM, and the ocean breeze is phenomenal, The property is prominent on the hillside and very nice overall, it would just be nice to know what accommodations you're getting before you arrive

This location was better than ever expected!! The sidewalk along the beach is right in front of the condo. We walked from Pacific Beach to Mission Beach and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. This condo is very secured with gated parking and requires electronic access to enter the elevator. The elevator is also secured and allows you to only access the floor that your condo is on. We were very impressed with this added security. Very safe area. This location is close to authentic restaurants, shops along the beach and Cold Stone Creamery. We also were impressed that the condo has spot lights on the rooftop to light up the beach at night- our condominium was the only one that had this luxury. We also had the best view for the sunset on the ocean. All the rooms in this condominium were ocean views. Other hotels in the area didn't have all rooms facing the ocean. Location is not far driving distance from La Jolla cove which is a must see- in the evenings the Sea Lions come to shore and rest on the rocks- just breathtaking. We drove to the San Diego sports arena on Sunday to attend the SWAP meet- bought the BEST California cherries ever!! Also drove to Perry's cafe and ate AWESOME pancakes! We rented a car in order to tour the entire city which I would recommend, but if you are going only for the beach then rental car is not needed. We will definitely stay here again in the future!!! Best money for the location! Was only surprised that the washer and dryer are not in the condo- they are located at the end of the hallway for use by all tenants. Still, we will definitely stay here again- BEST PLACE!

We were right on the beach - exactly where we wanted to be.

Loved the location. Very secure premises. Received 50% off for a 4 day stay which made it affordable for me ([...]). Great ocean views. Couldn't go up on the terrace because they had sand bags (?) against the door.
