Grant Plaza Hotel

Wer eine günstige Unterkunft im Zentrum von San Francisco sucht und das Hotel "nur" zum Schlafen braucht => Hier sind Sie RICHTIG!! Das Hotel liegt mitten in Chinatown mit all den Läden für Touristen . Durch die Nähe zu Bus + Bahn kommt man überall schnell + günstig hin. Check In war sehr schnell und wirklich nett und freundlich. Mein Zimmer (515) war zum Hof raus und damit nachts leise was den Straßenlärm angeht - allerdings ohne jegliche Aussicht. Der Wohnbereich war nett eingerichtet, aber schon etwas älter. Beim Check-In nach dem WEP Schlüssel für W-LAN fragen und dann hat man umsonst Internet - falls eigener Laptop dabei. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, das Bad war entsprechend dem Alter nicht mehr ganz so einfach top-sauber zu bekommen, aber trotzdem ok. Das Zimmermädchen hat wirklich sehr gut gereinigt. Das Bett war sehr gut und bequem. Wenn ich mal wieder nach San Francisco gehe, dann werde ich hier wieder schalfen und das Hotel auch meinen Bekannten empfehlen.

It's a basic hotel in a not so basic location. The room size has enough to unpack, shower, change, upload photos on their free wi-fi, and sleep. Although we only got the small 2 bed room, we found it perfect for when we needed it late every night after exploring the city all day. And waking up in the middle of the downtown core, on the edge of china town was a perfect point to expand out everyday. Ideal for active travelers and couples.

The location and price should be your main consideration to stay here. Other things are ordinary.

I was here for 4 nights, the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel does not have large rooms or a lot of amenities but it has a great location and very good price. The rooms are also pretty clean.

This Hotel is in an older building. The windows stay open and you can hear everything that is going on in the hotel at any given moment. The floor boards squeek and the room was one of the smallest I have ever seen. However, the price was incredibly low and I had no trouble getting from place to place as this hotel is situated one block inside Chinatown, one block up from the Dragon Gate. Everything in downtown San Francisco is in walking distance. I walked to Alcatraz pier one day and to the Moscone Center on several others. I had to bus to the Pacific and to Golden Gate Bridge, but everything else is in walking distance from your doorstep!

We had a great time staying here! The rooms are small but the location is absolutely perfect! If you plan on doing a lot when you're in SF and don't plan on being a bum in your hotel, stay here! Front desk staff were very nice and helpful!

Perfect location for getting around the city, Friendly polite staff who are more than happy to be of help.

Great location,cold room, smelly pillows and sheets that looked clean, and course towels. Keep in mind the Grant Plaza is a bargin hotel.

We got here late one night from our flight from Las Vegas. Eventho it was very very late, we checked in with no problems. placed in the heart of China Town and the Financial District, there is plenty of places to eat and drink. Just a few short blocks to Union Square this hotel is good for the traveler who will be out alot! inside the room.... Very very old, but it was perfect for the lone night we stayed. if I had to stay there again for (1) night I would.

Stay at this hotel if you are on budget and want a great location. The room was noisy as the noise cancellation is pretty bad. You will hear people walking at the corridor. The room was small. The bathroom is even smaller. Who cares, it's cheap and have a perfect location.
