Hilton San Francisco Financial District

The rooms are very nice. Not big, but the beds are great. the rest of the hotel is very clean and pretty. restaurant was marginal. Elevators were always jam packed in the morning. No "gift" shop (to speak of. Great location; stellar views.

Room setup was very nice. Also provided free wifi. Nice and quiet place to handle business and nice spot in fin. District.

Overall I'm happy with the hotel except for one thing... the small bed. We reserved a room with a king size bed, but when we got to the hotel, they said the only king size beds available were in the smoking section. They also said that all the queens were in the smoking section. The only bed available in the nonsmoking section was a twin. My wife is pregnant and this was our anniversary weekend, so the small bed ruined our experience.

Lovely room with view of Coit Tower and the bay. Very comfy bed, plenty of towels, nice fitness center, good food at the restaurant. Close to Telegraph Hill, China Town and City Lights bookstore. Walkable distance to bus, BART, ferry.

Everything was fine.. Check in staff reluctant to give us breakfast coupons... room curtains coming undone.. cleaning staff very friendly and helpful.

It was Nice

i didnt feel the staff was very welcoming or friendly, in fact i hardly saw anyone other than the front desk. at check in there were 2 employees at the desk, they didnt acknowledge us and were preoccupied with something else. our room was ok, tv, phone and internet were not working and when we called to ask about it they had no information for us. the next day still no tv, phone, internet and when we inquired they said we were the only room complaining about it, they didnt offer to fix it or see concerned about it.

3-day weekend: valentine's day / president's day. didn't realize the hotel was so close to chinatown, and that it was the beginning of chinese new year! was noisy with firecrackers, but that was only because of the holiday. was a great trip. usually stay by fisherman's wharf, but change of location was good. new stuff to do and see.

Easy access parking under hotel was good, though not cheap. Fast check-in w/ friendly staff. clean, well maintained fitness equipment made for a positive work out experience. There is a small park across the street where people practice tai chi in the morning.

Chose Hilton in Chinatown for location to Financial District and Ferry Building. Waited in line to check-in when there should have been more people working, then waited for elevator which was full to the brim. Twice we took the elevator down to the parking lot to get back up because they were full when they reached the lobby. Lots of kids and groups running around, construction next door started @ 3am Saturday morning. Wine Bar was closed Saturday @ 7pm! Towels were not replaced by housekeeping. The furnishings were very modern and the bed VERY comfortable.
