Hotel Tomo, a Joie de Vivre Hotel

Das Hotel liegt zwar nicht direkt in Downtown war für uns trotzdem vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis top. Die Zimmer sind super modern ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Mit der Buslinien 2 und 3 die ca. jede 10 bis 20 Minuten gegenüber vom Hotel fahren, ist man sehr schnell in der Stadt, ca. 10 Minuten. Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es auch, allerdings sind diese meiner Meinung viel zu hoch (20€/Nacht). Das Auto parkt man in einer oft überfüllten kleinen Tiefgarage. Das Personal war bisher das unfreundlichste was wir je hatten, kein lächeln hatte man übrig und des öfteren wurden wir von einer unfreundlichen Dame im mittleren Alter angeschnautzt. Allerdings gibt es schlimmeres, man muss ja nichts weiter mit denen zu tun haben. Es gibt zwar in SF günstigere Hotels, man sollte aber unbedingt auf die Lage achten. Viele Hotels sind extrem außerhalb oder in Vierteln wo man Nachts lieber nicht raus sollte. Im großen und ganzen hat und das Hotel super gut gefallen und empfehlen es gerne weiter!

The location was perfect for visiting my brother who lives in San Francisco. If anything, the hotel should play up the anime angle even more. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, street parking parking was easy to find and the value for money was great. This is a no-frills hotel. My biggest complaint is that the free WiFi was horrendously slow. I paid for the upgraded service for a day and it wasn't much better.

This hotel was very clean and quiet, a neat new place I've found in San Francisco. And the commute to downtown was so easy. I would definitely stay here again. Good deal!

The hotel itself is just a slightly modernized Best Western, but the people at the front desk or so helpful and accomodating with everything, that I just love this place. I stay here whenever I can. Great to have an empty fridge instead of one loaded up with overpriced drinks. I love the location because I can always find street parking and it is quieter than being downtown

We found our last visit to be similar as the precious visits. No surprises.

I've lived in the bay area before and its nice to go back and visit every now and then. I think this is the perfect hotel if you want to be right in the middle of San Francisco and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. I loved the cute Japanese theme in the hotel, and I love how close we were to Golden Gate Park, Japantown, and Irving street. I mean you can stay downtown, but I think that gets old after the first day. I much prefer this part of SF. The staff was SUPER friendly and nice and helpful! Highly recommended if you don't want to stay with every other tourist in downtown!

Quiet and pleasant location in Japantown. Close to shops, restaurants and a large Safeway. Easy to get to buses going in various directions. Free WiFi plus computers to print boarding passes for free. Transfer to SFO only $16. A la carte restaurant has good choices for breakfast - omelets are great, plus they come with potato and fruit not mentioned on menu! Room was clean and comfortable. Only downside for me was the noise at night - I didn't use my air con but continuous hum from other units, some strange creaky/knocking noises around my room and occasional emergency vehicle sirens (don't know why they use sirens in the middle of the night).

We have stayed at the motel several times in the past few months. Each time has been predictable and for the most part satisfactory. We would welcome better food services and in room devices such as a microwave. Each time the staff has been pleasant. We are easy attendants as we don't ask for or need much. We just expect to get the service and room we pay for.

I am not good at picking things off the internet. I was very pleased to see that the choice I made was good. Beds could have been softer but it was still sleepable. I would go back, I was in walking distance to everything I wanted to do.

its a cute place to stay. I think its worth your money, and there is a variety of great japanese food in the neighborhood!
