Travelodge Golden Gate

Nice staff, clean rooms and conveniently located to restaurants and touristy spots such as Fisherman's Wharf. My only complaint is the noisiness and the thin mattress. The people near our room were being very loud... walls are thin! Other than that, everything was nice :)

This was our first trip to san fran. Walked to pier 39,Ghiradelli and chrissy field.Lots of restaurants by hotel.We also went to sonoma/napa and entrance to Golden Gate Bridge was right by hotel.Bathrooms were just remodeled!!We would definitely consider this location again on future visits.Staff was pleasant and informative.Very easy to get around(took cable car to market st & cab to AT & T park for ballgame)

The room was clean and modern but thats where the fun ended. Two things made this a bad experience. First and foremost was the bed. You can actually run your hand down it and count the springs.very cheap quality. And the accompanying pillows were completely flat. Second theres no soundproofing. Being right off of Lombard, you can hear all of the traffic going by. It's much quieter if you try to sleep in the bathtub. It is close to the marina so you can easily grab some good food or walk to a few attractions but it probably isn't worth it.

The hotel was decent, it was clean and had a nice shower. I mainly stayed here for the location. Star bucks, Gap, and The Apple Store was just down the street including a ton of fun restaurants. I only gave it two stars because it didn't have amenities such as a pool, fitness room...It was a decent place to stay if you're looking for a cheaper place.

Took my wife to San Francisco for her birhtday and didn't want to pay a lot for a hotel since we would not be spending a ton of time in the room. It was nice and within driving/public transportation to all the San Francisco landmarks. Would stay there again.

We were only in the hotel to sleep and shower. Was very clean, friendly and convenient location. Would definitely book there again.

This hotel is a nice walk from the Marina, and a bit of a long walk from Fisherman's Wharf. There are buses that run on the street behind the hotel that can help get you closer to the action if you're not up for a long walk. The staff gave us a free upgrade to a room with 2 queen beds instead of the room with 2 doubles. The beds were comfortable, the room was spacious enough to bring in a twin air mattress, and the coffee was better than I had at other hotels on my trip. Free wifi was also handy. The two biggest downfalls to the hotel were the lack of parking space and the road noise. Lombard is a busy street, so there was constant background noise of cars and occasional honking. Parking is limited to maybe 20 spaces, and delivery drivers from a nearby pizzeria often took up a few of those. If you plan on driving here, make sure you're attentive to the address- there are two other Travelodges along Lombard!

Free parking, Quiet room facing the courtyard. Ask for a courtyard room away from Lombard street if you like quiet. Also close to many good local resturants within walking distance.

Room was average.A bit noisy from traffic. Excellent location to shops and restaurants.

I was In San Francisco for business and enjoyed the location because there are many things to do in the Marina. Parking is a little tight & they should clean the exterior area.
