BEST WESTERN PLUS Lanai Garden Inn & Suites

Made a quick trip to San Jose for business. My usual hotels were all booked. I found Lanai Gardens online The photos make it look better than it really is. Lots of traffic noise and few amenities. Still it's clean and safe and tolerable if nothing else is available.

good stay, With construction it is a little challenging to find the entrance road, but did make it in. Very nice...would recommend.

All was fine , stayed for 3 nights no problem, just the shower made a high pitch sound when turned on that did not go away tell water was turned off. Could be herd threw out the room while shower was in use, Free internet very slow, all else was a good stay, clean breakfast area & rooms.. Would stay again if in the area..

With the current HWY 101 ramp construction access to the hotel was through another businesses lot and getting to the North on-ramp was difficult .

Great value for the money. Would have preferred a location closer to San Jose airport. Appreciate the breakfast every morning. Friendly helpful staff, especially where to find restaurants and stores in the city. Room was generous size and comfortable. My compliments on the liquid soap and shampoo in the bathroom. Wifi worked great. Also liked the clock radio, with the ability to alarm in chimes,etc; and the ability to plug in an MP3 or portable CD and play through the speakers. Having an ironing board and iron in the room was also a plus. My wife and I both enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend.

Everything worked OK. Location was good for me but might be not so good for everybody. Breakfast was just OK, nothing special.

We picked this hotel based on price and proximity to the Reid-Hillview Airport. The hotel room was fairly nice, and the complementary breakfast the next morning was good. Unfortunately, the air conditioning unit in our room was loud, and could not be turned off or unplugged. It kept turning on every few minutes and interrupting our sleep. After a few hours of this, we called the front desk for help. The man could not figure out how to turn it off either, but offered to give us another room. We had to carry all of our stuff to a new room, on another floor, at 2 AM, without any help from the staff or a cart to use, which was incredibly frustrating. However, the new room's AC unit did not have the same problem and we eventually got a few hours of sleep. Bring earplugs.

We went to San Jose for a very sad occaission, and couldn't find a nicer place, at the last minute. The first night, we had to move from the room, because the sofa bed sheets had not been changed and my daughter found stuff on the bed. The second day the maid cleaned our room and it was nice. Upon our departure, we noticed that one of our CD walletts is missing when we notified the staff they said that it is our resposibility to lock up our valuables when we leave the room. They didn't even offer to help us locate or ask anyone on their staff. We lost about 30 CD's on this trip staying at this hotel.
