We (my wife and I) stayed 1 night in this hotel before our Cruise trip from Jax Port. Very conveniently located close to the airport and better still with ALL Airport and Cruise parking companies. This made the drive from the hotel to the parking lot a less than 5 minute ride. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and pretty safe area (even though it is near Jax airport). Recommend this for the price they offered and the convenience.

This was our third time to stay at Wingate by Wyndham at Jacksonville airport. The park and fly program is awesome, they watch your car, they are very courteous and the full breakfast was great. The service to and from the airport was excellent and the driver was very friendly. Makes traveling more pleasant when you have good people to deal with. Thank you Wyndham!!

Do not get me wrong a lot of staff were very good.
However, one individual ruined my experience by screwing up both of my wake up calls to create a lot of problems for me.
Every one else was fine, but you are only as good as your weakest link!

Nice property, clean and convinent to I-95. [...] the front desk attendant was more than helpful. This was my first time at this hotel ,but I was told the breakfast buffet from last year was more accomidating than the menu they have presently. Overall I was pleased with my stay.

First NONsmoking room assigned smelled of smoke and mildew. Staff was friendly and gave me a different room. Second room smelled of mildew but not of smoke, so I figured it was the best they could do. The room appeared to be clean, but did not smell clean. Did not try the wireless this stay, but it didn't work the last time I stayed there.

It was clean. Check-in and out was easy. Ice machine was always empty. Could not get extra towels. Noticed a lot of drug traffic. Someone tried to break into our Company Truck the second night. They do have security and they did scare them off.

I was there playing golf and I was looking for a cheap hotel without being in the hood. For the the nightly rate of 32 a night it was an excellent deal clean comfortable bed and a kitchen. In a nice area and easy access to the main highways. I will stay there again when I come back. LB of DC

It was a little difficult to find, but no more than the other brandname hotels in the same campus setting. Friendly staff and clean room that was comfortable and had plenty of room. I travel every week and this is a place I'll stay again soon.

Pretty good place. Clean with a kitchenette. Beds are hard/stiff. When i was there there was a train that came by at 3:00ish AM every day and blasted it's horn. Close to the harbor/boardwalk which is pretty cool for a morning run or nite walk.
The beds were the biggest complaint but many people prefer stiff beds.

the roon was dirty, the kitchen floor actually had a tennis shoe footprint on the floor in dirt...kitchen bathroon floor filthy, sink didnt drain...noise from another room kept us awake two nights, we complained and it was not taken care of and desk person had a bad attitude...i called again and after letting the phone ring 14 times, the girl picked it up and instead of answering hung up in my face.,, i called after 11pm and got another person on the desk who seemed interested in helping and noise stopped...noise sounded like constant walking, dragging furniture around, slamming closet doors, etc....my daughter was on elevator and another guest mentioned that she smelled pot in the elevator all the time and it was worse in the stairwells....two of the maids got into an argument in the hallway and were using the "f" work and the "s" word very loud....

Jacksonville football game makes it impossible to get to the hotel. Staff not helpful trying to navigate around the street closures. First room was not cleaned. The hotel did offer to upgrade me to a water view. go figure? I was there for one night. Restaurant was good. Staff was great. Offered to print my document.

NICE, especially for $109 per night in downtown. Everyone was super friendly. The service was spectacular. They went above and beyond with great service always offering free cold water when we waited outside for anything. Pool area was great, but the drinks were pretty week and spendy. The manager for the bar was awesome and a great guy who really gave great service. I wont stay anywhere else.

Overall everything was nice. But, after 8:30 it seemed as if the front desk clerk would vanish. First night there waited 20 minutes with several other guest just to get checked in. Note on desk said "will be back in a minute." Thursday night after waiting 15 minutes for someone to return just gave up and went back to room.

We had a good experience at this hotel. The staff was very friendly. The hotel room was very accomodating. The continental breakfast was excellent, my daughter & I enjoyed it. The pool was a little small but perfect to get your feet wet in. I love the fact that the hotel was a little out of the way but close enough to the mall & highway.

The hotel is well situated to the port terminal as we wanted. Everything about the hotel was excellent including the complimentary breakfast and the fact that if you forgot any toiletry items, they would provide them. Would use the hotel again if in the area.

The first night of my 6 night stay I had an issue, the new manager was very accommodating and took care of the issue immediately. This was my trip to see my son before he left for "Afganistan". It was the first time to see my daughter-in - law and grandchildren in a year. There were a couple of other issues but over all the hotel is very nice.

So this hotel is definitely cheap so you get what you paid for. The room was spacious but smelled a little bit. The bare essentials were in the room. The lobby was being renovated and was very nice. The patrons next door were quite noisy. Our room was in the back of the hotel and the area did not feel safe and so my boyfriend and I parked our cars in the front of the building which was a long walk from our room. All in all, if you do not scare easily and like cheap hotels to just crash in then this hotel serves it's purpose.

WE were very impressed by the hotel and thought that we got exceptional value for our money. My husband is disabled, which meant that we needed a shower chair. One was sent up before we could open our bags and decide where we would have dinner which was right inside the hotel. Very pleasant. And there was a huge party there, but we felt as tho we were important too.

Our last night, the hotel decided to have their grout professionally cleaned -- at 10:00 at night! And the air compressor or whatever equipment they were using was right outside our room. When I called to the front desk, she was extremely pleasant and got the workers to stop the noise.

Having stayed at the Microtel Inn & Suites on Airport Dr. in Jacksonville many times, I feel quite justified in saying that this hotel meets the needs of budgeting travellers perfectly. It is economical, clean, and close to the airport. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I will be very happy to stay there again!

Nice experience. Was disappointed when asked for a receipt, the front desk would only provide me with one showing no costs. Front desk personnel not very pleasant.

The Super 8 was more or less what I expected from a Super 8 - basic, comfortable, no frills. I wish I'd done a little more research regarding the exact location of this Super 8 (there are several throughout Jacksonville) since it was closer to the city than I'd have liked and further from my areas of interest. A simple Google search would have worked in my favor. The staff were all friendly and helpful, from the desk to housekeeping. When I arrived at 11p, it took 3 rooms before the desk clerk was able to find one without a problem - but he was quite courteous throughout and apologized multiple times.

The room was clean and average in my experience. The main complaint I had was with the bathroom. It had a strong musty odor which I assume was originating from the rubber mat in the bathtub. It had apparently not been removed for cleaning underneath for some time. When I lifted it, it had a gummy substance adhering it to the tub. I would not have taken a bath in the tub, only showered. Also the security chain on the outside door was broken, but the deadbolt was sufficient. Desk service was friendly and helpful.

I can't speak for the bed and carpet but the tileing in the kitchen area and bathroom was sticky and dirty. My white socks were black within minutes.
I saw some black specks in the bathtub that made me shower with flip flops on.
Cleanliness was my only issue while the location was conveniently close to the mcat testing center I was going to. I stopped by a nearby winndixie to get frozen food for my breakfast to save me money.

The hotel was nice quiet and peaceful. It was in the heart of alot of entertainment and 4 miles from the beach. I overall enjoyed it and will refer it to all of my family and friends.
