Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Key West

We truly enjoyed our stay! The staff was super friendly and always ready to help. The Old Town Trolley stop was perfect; we toured Key West by leaving at the front doorstep of the Fairfield Inn, and returning a couple of hours later. The pool was so refreshing after a day out on the town. We would certainly go back!

Room was small, but nicely decorated and very clean. Room did not face the water, but that was to be expected at this low rate. Crowing roosters and loud banging garbage trucks woke us up each morning at 5am. This may be beyond the hotel's control, but there was little noise insulation and people in adjoining rooms could be heard moving furniture early am and late pm. The promised wi fi never worked, and when we asked the staff for help with it, they just shrugged it off. Very little available on the tv. No free movie channels; all movies were pay-per-view. Breakfast was good, though.

Lower than average cost. Property was actually pretty nice (for the genre). Pool area, "tiki" bar, breakfast area were all above average for this price level. I was originally concerned about traffic noise from Hwy 1 (hotel is right on it), but they apparently did a good job soundproofing, as we had no issues. On-site 'tour vendor' was decent- hooked us up with rental bikes (also on-site) and a stand-up paddle board rental- decent deals (and convenient). Clean room. Nice breakfast. A little bit far from the city center. Nice staffs.

Hotel was clean, comfortable, and only a $10 cab ride from Duval and the attractions. Would stay here again!

The staff was great. When I arrived in Key West with my son I had a wishlist but did not know anyone there. That is where the front desk pointed me in the right direction and did not mislead me or sell me to the highest bidder. My son and I went fishing one day with a great crew and boat. The next day we went on a tour to the dry Tortuga. Which I had no idea it existed, if not for the nice lady at the front desk. She took her time to ask the right questions. Then she booked the whole thing right then and there. I had to do nothing but tell her what fun my son and I wanted to have for the budged we could afford. She made it happen. The stay in the hotel was great. I never saw anyone clean my room. It was clean when we got back from our trips and no one bothered us for any thing. The breakfast was not a feast but it wast healthy for me and my son. Fresh every day. The staff did a great job with the rooms. I have been in many places, this one stood out for their small details and effort. I will come back and enjoy my stay many more times I a sure. This is not the newest hotel with many bells and whistles, but it makes up for it with a great staff and attitude. They make it happen.

My experience at this hotel was an enjoyable one. I was a little afraid about booking after ready mixed reviews but I was actually pleasantly surprised!! The entire hotel was really clean and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were nice and cozy and the shower was AWSOME!! No bathtub so if you have kids probably not very convienent. The pool area was really nice but to bad the deepest part of the pool was 4'8".....wasn't too happy about that!! Pretty close to the downtown area and walking distance to food, convience store etc. Bike and scooter rentals on site and staff at the front desk can book any activities you want to do for the day. Overall good experience.

The pool was fantastic but the best thing was his people, specially who serve the breakfast.

Key West speaks for It self. As for the Fairfield Inn and Suites, you have to check it out to see. The staff was great, helpful and informative about the local attractions, dining and entertainment. You are not just a number here, it is very personal. We stayed in a suite and had plenty of room. Tile floors and super upgraded bathroom with tile shower with custom glass doors. Plenty of space for a large family of six if needed. The pool area was nice with plenty of seating a large pool with decorative fountains that the children loved. There was a tiki bar next to the pool that closes a little early (7pm) but is there if you need it. The free breakfast and wait staff were both excellent. They have a gym, but I didn't check it out. The only suggestions would be food service, swimming makes you hungry and people will pay for food at the pool, more parking, and longer bar hours. Overall great experience for me and my family.

Way over priced for what you get. I thought this was a hotel, but it was just a fancy motel. stay at the lexington (a mile down the same street) for half the price. i was really not impressed. the staff was helpful and the room was clean, but thats about it. bad satelite service on the tv. non working remote control. tiny room. the pool was outstanding, but very shallow (4' 10" at its deepest). there was construction going on at the hotel for my entire stay starting at 8:00 AM and it woke me up early every day of my vacation.
