Nice place in need of some work
I chose this hotel because of the location and a recommendation. This is a good hotel, but it needs an update: the wear and tear of years of use clearly shows. Two specific issues: the WiFi and internet connections were spotty at best and the in-room wired connection didn't work at all (I spent over an hour on the phone with the tech support people who acknowledged they had hardware problems in the hotel). The back-up battery in the smoke detector was low and the thing beeped about every 6 hours. Ugh.

New Year's Bash
The hotel experience was all around great with the exception of check in times. I know that with the holiday's the staff can get busy however, I had to wait over an hour and a half past the said check in time to get into my room. Management stated there was nothing they could do and just told me to keep coming back. The room was comfortable, yet when we went into our room our air was not working no matter how low we put the thermostat. As a result when we slept we all were extremely hot.

IVE ALWAYS HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE STAYING AT SHEARTON PROPERTIES. THIS HOTEL WAS NO EXCEPTION! THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, ROOMIE ETC. EMTRANCE, RESTURANT, GYM & POOL ALL GET 5 STARS. I DEF RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY!

Great Hotel
It was a great hotel and location. Easy access to highway and many places to eat just one or two exits down. Not many places to eat close to hotel so had to hit highway to get there. Prices were very high for room service and no free breakfast at this place. Bed was very comfortable and place was quiet and peaceful. Not a very long drive and easy to get to international blvd.

Nice place, but Wireless Needs Help!!!
Stayed while visiting friends. The wireless connection was the biggest complaint from the entire family. May have stayed longer if we could have gotten a good connection. Service could have been better...asked for a microwave and had to pay (most hotels don't charge for a microwave), then had to call three times before it was delivered. Loved the pool!

We visited some family that live nearby; we rented bikes from Dave's Bikeworld and rode the "rails to trails" (paved bike path) in Lake Mary; and shopped along Park Avenue in Winter Park. We packed a lot of memories into a short trip.We thought we were getting a bit larger room than we were led to believe [...], and the hotel could not do anything to fix it. But we made the most of it (it meant my teenage sons had to share a bed). We could complain about the maid staff too (not leaving enough towels or coffee), but this really was a great hotel for the money.
