Days Inn Sarasota/Airport

1)Cleaning staff that can take your personal item and the management excuses that lack of training, by saying the staff doesn't understand English. 2) The Management promises to give you two extra days if you pay for two full weeks, and then they retract and demand you pay for the two extra days that were to be included in the price of the two weeks' payment. Their excuse: "it was a misunderstanding.

The price was great, the room was clean and the AC worked. Location was very close to where we needed to be. It was quiet at night. Had everything we were looking for.

The bathroom was dirty. Dirt on the floor, the water in the shower was dirty for a about 30 seconds. The AC unit had dust all over it. The bathroom fan had dust in it, dripping to the floor. The lobby was dirty. The pool had dirt at the bottom, did not go in. The room smelled like mildew. Your ad of the lobby is very misleading. Looks nothing like it.

the hotel room was extremely dirty and the light sockets were hanging out of the walls. The manager was nice enough though to refund my money.

I am not picky at all about hotels, but for 65 dolars this was a robery! 1.The hotel was dirty, 2.The room smelled a lot, even though there was a sign of non smoking! the worst part is that all my clothes caught the smoke smell. 3. We found a cockroach. 4. The hot breakfast was horrible and there were no seats or tables available. I would not go back. You can find better rooms for that money

Have stayed at many Days Inns and other similarly priced motels. For their price I don't expect a lot, and most over-deliver for the price. This was the first really bad one. Lobby/office was located behind the restaurant next door, very odd way to enter to check in. Room was missing its phone, hair dryer and coffee maker, and apparently nobody noticed any of these things when setting up the room. Night manager saw me holding my room key against my iPod Touch and insisted that I had just zapped the key and it would need to be reprogrammed. Pretty sure that's not true, or would be a rarity. Weird. Ice machine was out of order. Wifi didn't work when I arrived. They told me it was just fine (though it wasn't) but they did fix soon after. Found a roach crawling around the bathroom in the morning. Thankfully, not a cockroach, a smaller one. Crushed it with a magazine. Breakfast was somewhat less than typical for a Days Inn. Got a kick out of an older woman seeing that they had English muffins but no butter or cream cheese and proclaiming that you can't possibly have an English muffin without butter. Overall, pretty disgusted by this place so decided to splurge. For my second day in Sarasota, checked into the La Quinta down the road, closer to downtown. Cost twice as much, but much nicer.

No room available for "disabled" that was requested. Room finally provided on ground floor smelled like smoke, rug was disgusting, toilet hard to flush, located in area of motel where long term families appeared to be living . . . I had to use my own sheets and bring in my own chair - because their chair was so dirty and smelly and I was afraid to sleep on their sheets. Never again!!! I go every year to Sarasota for a spiritual conference and would like to find a decent, clean place to stay overnight.

Two friends got bedbug bites from their bed. Few of the outlets worked. Mildew on the ceiling and the walls were cracked. Our room key rarely worked and the room door was loose and didnt shut properly. One morning we did not recieve enough towels. The pool was pretty nice considering how aged the rooms were, just very dirty.
