I did not realize when booking this hotel it was one of the older hotels. The outside of the hotel reminded me of a shelter. The inside of the room was worse. The sheets had a bad odor and it was so unkempt. the rugs were stained and to say more the air conditioner would leak from the outside. My purpose in booking the hotel was due to the beaches that were near by, i guess? I thought this hotel had no features, basic and ugly. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The good, the bad and the ugly
Excellent location, very close to beautiful Siesta Key Beach and with many local business surrounding the hotel. Very decent swimming pool. Friendly front-desk people. The bad part is that rooms are equipped with double beds, if you plan to share a room with your children you better look for queen beds. The ugly part is that the rooms were not well kept or cleaned. That part is sad as except for that I would have rated the hotel with a 4 stars

Good location but older property
The property was well kept and front desk was helpful. The description on Orbiz led me to believe it was a newer hotel. It said, new in 2009 executive suites. Did not like the outside doors. At 2:00 in the morning one night, some guys decided to talk loud right near our door.

clean hotel room with a decent breakfast in the morning that had all the usuals with a nice staff. the only down side is the hotel is next to a major through way and a noisy bar that has live bands with music played at maximum level.

The location was ideal for me. The hotel itself was lacking in some minor areas: no grab bar/s in shower, musty odor in room. But clean and comfortable and loved the continental breakfast and coffee machine.

[...] or even hotel itself should send map and driving directions to hotel with confirmation of reservation. Altho I was in this hotel a couple of years ago, some of the area changed (from airport) and it was uncomfortable especially in dark.

Great Experience!
The location of this hotel was great, since we did spend a lot of time at Siesta Key Beach and Village. We were able to shop, dine, and have some great drinks. This hotel is truly an ideal location to experience Florida, we will be going back very soon we hope!

Great room, great deal
The hotel was very nice and fit our needs for our trip to Siesta Key. We really enjoyed the free breakfast. We expected honey buns and sone cereal, but woke up every morning to biscuits, gravy, eggs, bacon, etc. It was a wonderful surprise.

Short drive from hotel
St. Armand was a great find. It was a short drive from the hotel, but had great shopping circle and great scenic drive along the coast to get there.

Unbeatable location for the price
Just 5 minute drive to the beautiful white sandy beach! Pool was heated. The complimentary breakfast was great!

A short drive to the beach! Short drive anywhere. several walking restaurants within the area. (wouldn't recommend attempting a walk to the beach but still a short drive)

Luke warm...
While the hotel was central to the beach and aquarium I did not like being in the congested area. It was not scenic at all. The fact that you were surrounded by restaurants was good but you were SURROUNDED by restaurants. You saw the back of them. There was a dingy trailer park down the road - in walking distance. The pool was great though but of course my room fronted the parking lot and it was NOISY! The vending machines ran out of the $1.50 bottled water. The room looked clean but I found a dirty wash rag hanging over the shower curtain from the last tenant. On a positive note there was free breakfast if you got there between 730-930. It was real food sausage, eggs, etc. And the coffee was great. Central location - went to Mote Aquarium and it was 20 mins away. Siesta Key was close. Would not stay there again for the price - other places were less $$ or nicer and just a bit higher.
